Updated ccMiner 1.7.6-git fork by tpruvot With Improved Decred Support

3 Apr

A quick update with a new Windows binary compiled from the latest ccMiner 1.7.6-git fork from tpruvot (source) with some improvements regarding the Decred (DCR), the latest pull request submitted by pallas that can provide up to 10% performance increase. The release below includes two versions of ccMiner, one is 32-bit binary for Windows that is compiled with CUDA 7.5 and with support for Compute 2.0 or newer Nvidia GPUs, and another that is 64-bit Windows binary compiled with CUDA 7.5 for Compute 3.5 or newer Nvidia GPUs. Do note that if you have a newer Nvidia video card you should use the 64-bit CUDA 7.5 release as it is providing better hashrate than the 32-bit CUDA 6.5 binary. It seems that the speedup works better for Linux than on Windows, the hashrate increase under Windows OS much less than the improvement under Linux.

Update: Binaries have been recompiled and should now provide a bit more hashrate for Windows users than the previous release.

Not working with dcr.pool.mn keeps getting rejected (says needs exactly 6 arguments and it’s getting 7 instead).

hi with suprnova pool i have unconfirmed trabsactions for almost 24 hours is it normal ? i m a really bit dubious about this pool ; on eth i never get any rewards.

@sasha: on yiimp, which you should use with this release see below, it says “Decred block time is slow (avg 5-15mn) and they require 256 confirmations, don’t expect first payouts before 24H.” So that could be a similar issue with suprnova.

@isaac: the joys of using beta software. 1.7.6 is not final and your issue is due to “the decred protocol has changed with the vote parameter in 1.7.5/1.7.6 and the pools haven’t updated their software.” yiimp has update and should work fine.

tpruvot also has an update to decred in his linux (testing) branch called: “decred: magic improvement in one line “

tpruvot has updated the code to not include the vote parameter, and some speed-ups for >5.2 and Windows.
