All About BTC, LTC, ETH mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
The Cryptotrader cloud based online algorithmic trading platform for Bitcoin and other crypto currency trading has updated their pricing plans making it more affordable to actually start trading live using the platform. The Basic plan that was previously available for $8 USD is now gone as it did not allow for actual live trading and the Basic+ plan that was available for $24 USD per month that actually allowed you to have 1 live trading bot is now available for $10 USD a month. So if you want to test the service you can signup for the basic free functionality and then if you decide to start trading live you can do so now with just $10 USD per month and not $24 USD as it was previously. The Pro and VIP plans that allow for more simultaneously running trading bots are also slightly cheaper respectively with $5 and $10 USD lower than previously.
Do note however that this platform is intended mostly for more advanced users that are willing to program their own automated trading bot. There are also many automated trading strategies available for free that you can try and further adapt as well as a Strategy trading market where you can essentially rent a more professional bot. The problem with the strategy market is that the prices of most strategies that you pay for on a monthly basis are quite high, making them not worth renting just for testing or for trading with small amounts of crypto currencies as in the end you would want to make profit from all of this.
The automated bot trading service Cryptotrader has just officially announced the addition of support for trading on two new exchanges – Kraken and Bitfinex. These two exchanges are added along with the already supported Bitstamp, BTC-E and CexIO, the service previously also supported MtGox, but not anymore for obvious reasons. This is essentially the first solution for automated cloud trading on crypto exchanges to provide support for trading on Kraken, a particularly interesting place for trading in Europe due to the large EUR trading volume on the exchange.
If you haven’t tried the service yet, you might want to check our review of Cryptotrader first. We can add to that already that the service still suffers from one major problem and that is letting users know about new features on time, a clear example for that is the announcement about the new exchanges… they have actually been available for a while already, more than a week for Kraken and close to a month for Bitfinex. So they really have to do something about letting their users know about new features and improvement in a more clear way and not just send a newsletter once in a while to sum things that have happened in the past two months for example.
A new version of the Haasonline Automated Trading Bot software was released along with an update for the trading platform for existing users. The new Beginner Trade Bot is a bit more limited compared to the Simple and Advanced versions of the trading software, but also comes at a much affordable price, making it ideal for people that want to try it out first without having to invest a lot in the software for the more expensive licenses. And the good news is that you can upgrade at a later time to the other two versions by paying for the difference, so if you like the results and need more features you can upgrade, if not you would not have paid up to 0.9 BTC to see that this software is not for you. The price for a license for the Beginner Trade Bot is 0.25 BTC and you can get 5% discount if you add the coupon code “5off” (without the quotes) on checkout. Note that the promo code for the discount can also be used for the other two versions of the software, not only for the Beginner license.
The update to the software that existing users have received brought some new features and improvements, but due to changes in how user settings are stored in the new version after upgrading the trade bot configuration and the exchange API keys will be lost and yo will need to set them again and that can be a bit of a bother, especially if you have configured a lot of bots already with different settings. On the other hand there are some useful improvements in the new version along with new indicators, better options for selecting the trading amount that the bot can operate with and more advanced check if the set orders have executed or not. With the older version we had a few cases when an order is sent to an exchange such as Cryptsy and not getting executed for a while without getting removed due to a timeout, so hopefully the new update will fix these problems. We are currently testing the automated trading bot on LTC/BTC trading to see how good it will perform in the current market situation with the Litecoin prices going up and so far we are seeing good results getting some profit from our automated trades.
