It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
Something interesting for everyone that has taken interest in Merit (MRT) and is mining the crypto currency, a new third parity Nvidia GPU miner for the Cuckoo cycle algorithm used by the project is now available. If you still have not checked Merit, but are interested read more about it in our post and you can request an invite since we currently have a few more extra available to give out. Since invites are limited and hard to acquire, please apply only if you really are interested in trying out Merit and do not waste them without a reason.
The just released zjazz CUDA miner is intended to provide alternative to the official miner, giving more flexibility and stability as well as performance in some cases. The new miner comes with multiple options to reduce the CPU load for GPU mining rigs with slower CPUs (Merit mining is still CPU heavy) or to maximize performance on mining machines with more powerful processors increasing the hashrate you get. There are multiple options available to play with that control CPU load and mining performance depending on your mining hardware. More importantly the miner itself seems more stable and does not seem to be crashing on systems that we have experienced crashes from the official Merit miner. Do note however that the zjazz CUDA Miner is a closed source software and comes with a built-in development fee of 2% and there is currently Windows only binary available.

Error: Exceeding GPU memory! | Failed to create buffer (out of memory) | Requirements (1006632960) | Total memory (1006632960)
What is the problem with this? 12 cards.

For 12 GPUs you might want to try using singe thread and also check your virtual memory and increase it if it is not big enough.

I only get the “out of memory” error with the 1050ti, but overall I don’t see much improvement running the 1080 with 2 threads. The [cpu_assist_min] option for less powerfull cpu is nice. I get almost 20% increase in Cycles/s and the 1070’s are runing as the should now.

Just do a search for the file on your computer and copy it in the same folder as the miner.

Getting about 0.6 on a 1080ti in my gaming rig due to it having a decent CPU. Mining rigs, not so much.

For out of memory errors try running single thread and/or increasing you computer’s virtual memory…

You need strong cpu to use all your rigs, thats why it gives memory error. try lowering your gpus than add 1 by 1
cuckoo is memory hungry , pump that mem clock. for more help join merit discord, you find lot of help there

I have an i3 and 1×1080, 3 x 1070, and I am struggling to keep the hashrate over 1 cycle per second. Does anyone have overlocking/underclocking suggestions? The memory on my graphic cards is already maxed out (tested with Ethereum Claymore miner and finminer). I will try to find a faster cpu and more RAM.

The CPU should be fast enough for these 4 cards, experiment with different options including with 2 threads per GPU. How much is the official miner giving you?

the maximum i get from the lightweight wallet is 0.75
the maximum with zjazz is 1.2
with other (more cpu or gpu intensive) zjazz settings i get between 0.8 and 1.0.
maybe there is still some headroom in gpu overclocking, the cards are currently all offset +200Mhz GPU and 1000+ Mem.

Cards further overclocked I am getting up to 1.4Cycles/second now.

Is it possible to run it under Ubuntu or other Linux?

This miner is not yet available for Linux, but the official one has a Linux version…
