The latest version of the software for automatic mining pool profit switching comes with some fixes and support for YAAMP clones, also support for pools that are no longer available have been removed. You can now also have multiple manual entries for pools in the config file with fixed settings for the price set by you in order to get their profitability calculated. We are going to be updating our ready made for use packages based on the Miner Control tool with this version soon, meanwhile you can play with its new features. The release you can download below is with the example test miner (not really mining anything) and a sample configuration file.

I’ve been working with KBomba on this version the past week and it is worth pointing out that when using Nicehash/Westhash, the preferred method is to set detectstratum: true (as per the default config). This will poll the endpoints periodically and automatically return the fastest stratum server to use.

Setting the stratum urls manually (detectstratum: false) now needs to be done in a specific way in order to get correct balance reports.

I’m constantly mining on Nicehash.
Is switching pools (“pool hopping”) more profitable than mining on one pool only?

Automatically switching between the most profitable algorithms even on a single pool can be more profitable and easy than having to switch manually, let alone using multiple pools… that is only if another supported pool has better performance. Recently the Quark mining has been dropping in terms of profitability.
