CPU Mining With cpuminer-opt 3.8.4 the Yescryptr32 Algo for WAVI

It has been a while since we have last CPU mined a crypto coin that only has a CPU miner and not a GPU or ASIC and uses a new crypto algorithm, it has been a while since we have used the cpuminer-opt as well. So why not get back to it and put some stress on your processor for mining using the latest cpuminer-opt 3.8.4 (download) and mine WAVI coins (Bitcointalk announcement) that use the new yescryptr32 algorithm.

If you are interested in what kind of performance you can expect mining this algorithm with a CPU, here is a reference for you. An Intel Core i7 6850K (6-cores at 3.6 GHz + HT) does around 635 H/s in the yescryptr32 algorithm without overclock of the processor. A processor like the commonly used Intel Celeron G1840 (Dual Core at 2.8 GHz) manages to get around 110 H/s in terms of hashrate when mining yescryptr32. If you try mining WAVI coins with a different processor feel free to share your performance results in the comments below…

Windows defender and chrome found “trojan:win32/skeeyah.a!rfn” in this.

So it’s not a good idea to try it on your main PC.

tested on I3 4150 = 127 kh/s max. Don’t run on Pentium G3240.

V 3.8.4 ist more stable and apparently more friendly with Haswell on socket 1150. The G3240 runs with sse2 at 147H/s and the I 3 at 150 h/s on W7 64 ultimate.

700H/s with 2500K but I’m mining yescryptR16 Yenten.

Do not confuse the speed of a single core with the total speed. Look the line “Accepted”

The cpu is not only the only thing that yescryptr32 consider. You also need to look at you ram. Occuped Dual ram thread are in my opinion and in my experience the best variant to get the most efficiency. Means a better cpu could make less hashrate than a lower cpu with high dual ram. For myself I don’t know exactly what the difference between and yesscryptr16 is. I would feel glad if somebody could explain this in detail somehow. Happy mining!
