yacminer-3-4-2-yac2-windows

YACoin has started as a CPU mining coin, but now as with many other cryptos there is no point in mining it with anything less than a GPU. YACoin requires special miner software for OpenCL mining and it is called yacminer, a miner based around cgminer and designed for mining specifically YACoin with its Scrypt-jane algorithm. This miner software is intended for use on AMD GPU mining systems, for Nvidia GPU mining you better go for CUDAminer. As you can see from the screenshot above currently the hashrate you can get from a Radeon R9 280X GPU mining YACoin is not that high compared to some other cryptos, but that is due to the specifics of the algorithm being used here. Also note that the Intensity value is low, you need to keep it lower than you normally would mining other cryptos as higher value may start giving you HW errors. Below you can find the download link for the latest version of yacminer 3.4.2-yac2 for Windows.

cgminer-3-1-1-blakecoin-windows

Blakecoin (BLC) is an interesting new alternative crypto coin that uses Blake-256 algorithm – faster than Scrypt, SHA-256 and Keccak, making it an interesting new coin to mine if you have some spare resources. The Blake-256 algorithm hashrate is about 3x faster than what you are getting from the same hardware mining for Bitcoin. So for example with a Radeon R9 280X you can expect to get a hashrate of about 2-2.5 GH/s or more when mining Blackecoin. You cannot use the standard cgminer for mining BLC, you need to use a special version of cgminer modified for mining Blakecoin, and you can download the windows version of cgminer 3.1.1 for Blakecoin mining below.

vertminer-0-5-3-windows

Vertcoin (VTC) mining with GPU requires a special miner called vertminer that is essentially a modified version of cgminer 3.7.2. The latest version of verminer 0.5.3 is designed to be used for mining VTC on AMD-based graphic processors. Note that the hashrate you will get by mining VertCoin with this modified mining client will be lower than what you get wen mining traditional scrypt based crypto coins. VertCoin (VTC) uses Scrypt-Adaptive-Nfactor algorithm and not just the standard scrypt algorithm that makes it ASIC proof and harder to mine, but also making it another very interesting alternative to most other alt crypto currencies that are essentially cloning BTC or LTC by using either SHA-256 or Scrypt algorithm. What is important to know is that you will not be able to mine VertCoin (VTC) with the standard cgminer, you need to use this modified version. Below you can find a download link to the latest vertminer 0.5.3 for windows.
