The XMR-STAK-RX RandomX miner has been updated to version 1.0.3 bringing some performance improvements for both Windows and Linux, some fixes and also support for the RandomX ArQmA algorithm. With this addition XMR-STAK-RX does come with full RandomX algorithm support like the alternatives SRBMiner-Multi and XMRig that already had support for the algorithm that ArQmA uses now. Unfortunately performance wise XMR-STAK-RX may still need a bit more to catch up to the alternatives, even with the fact tat there is developer fee at all for this miner. We remind you that out of the RandomX and RandomX-based algorithms the one used by the ArQmA (ARQ) project is doing best in terms of performance on Intel CPUs lagging in terms of performance just a bit behind the AMD Ryzen.

RagerX is a new RandomX miner for Monero (XMR), built for speed and ease of use, featuring an integrated PPLNS pool and its own dedicated operating system for the mining software. According to the developers RagerX is the fastest and easiest RandomX miner on the market, offering up to 10% faster performance compared to other RandomX CPU miners available such as XMR-Stak-RX or XMRig. There is a catch however, you need to flash a dedicated operating system that the RagerX miner uses on a USB flash and boot from it on your mining rig and use the dedicated mining pool that only supports Monero (XMR) mining for the moment, though support for other RandomX coins is apparently coming soon.

With the RagerX miner you get up to 10% faster performance with zero development fee for the miner, but since you have to use the dedicated pool you are going to get a 3.5% pool fee, but even like that you should still get better hashrate compared to other alternatives that are supposedly slower. The only drawback for the moment is the fact that the RagerX Monero mining pool was just opened for the public and the hashrate it currently has is pretty low, so it will take a bit of time for users to come and bump it up so there is a faster block time. What we liked especially is the fact that email address is not required for a registration to the pool, only username and password along with an XMR payment address… an email address can be added later on if you wish to use notifications for example. The pool uses the PPLNS payout system which is short for Pay-Per-Last-N-Shares and the minimum payout is 0.1 XMR which can take a while to be reached with just a single CPU mining RandomX.

The latest TT-Miner 3.2.0 Beta 8 comes with added support for the Kadena (Blake2S) algorithms algorithm used by the Kadena (KDA) project that was recently launched and started with CPU and solo mining initially. Now there is a pool available for mining KDA – IceMining and you can use the latest TT-Miner Beta release to GPU mine Kadena on Nvidia GPUs, there is a miner available for the AMD GPU owners as well – SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.8. Have in mind that since KDA uses Blake2S is is apparently also already available for FPGA miners such as BittWare CVP-13 that is powered by Xilinx VU13P FPGA, also available for Xilinx VU9P (BCU1525 and BTU9P) FPGAs with slower hashrate and others may be coming out with support soon as well, so GPU mining might not be viable for long.

Do note that if you get a missing DLL error when trying to run the miner on Windows you may need to download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019.

TT-Miner supports ProgPOW, Ethash, UBQhash, MTP, Lyra2REv3, Epic, EagleSong and Kadena (Blake2S) algorithms on Nvidia GPUs and is available for Windows and Linux as pre-compiled binaries, a closed source miner with 1% developer fee for all of the supported algorithms.
