amhash-hashie-dividents

The new AMHAsh interface now has the BTC balance showing for the hashrate that has been transferred from the Hashie cloud mining platform with dividends getting calculated for users starting from December 28th. You can already see the BTC balance in your account, but the withdraw functionality has not yet been implemented, though that should most likely be available in the next days as well. Do note that the AMHash web interface was a forced a bit by the issues that Hashie had, so it is apparently currently being worked on the go and we are seeing improvements as functionality is being added. Do note that AMHash is currently not selling Bitcoin cloud mining hashrate, but their new web-based interface should support that functionality as well, so you should be able to purchase directly through it if/when they add more mining hardware to their mining farm. And if you still haven’t transferred your AMHash hashrate from Hashie, then you should initiate the transfer process.

bitstamp-temporary-suspended

BitStamp, one of the top Bitcoin exchanges at the moment is temporary unavailable as security precaution due to possible compromise of some of their hot wallets. The downtime should not take a lot of time and there is probably no reason to be concerned about the possible problem as the service does store most of the coins in their cold wallet. Only some of the deposits/withdraws that have happened in the last few hours might be affected and these should be covered by BitStamp. In the meantime, while the service is temporary unavailable, there is a warning to users of the exchange not to send any coins to their wallets as these deposits will not appear in your balance, so you should wait for BitStamp to be fully operational before doing any coin deposits.

Update: It seems that the security breach on January 4th have caused some of Bitstamp’s operational wallets to be compromised, resulting in a loss of less than 19000 BTC according to the latest update from the exchange. The service is still not back to normal operation, but Bitstamp reassures their customers that they don’t have to worry that they will loose their coins.

This breach represents a small fraction of Bitstamp’s total bitcoin reserves, the overwhelming majority of which are held in secure offline cold storage systems. We would like to reassure all Bitstamp customers that their balances held prior to our temporary suspension of services will not be affected and will be honored in full.

ccminer-1-5-24-git-sp-mod

During the holidays we were not very active in mining, but it seems that the miner software developers have spent some time working on their code, so here is a new windows binary compiled from the latest code of the ccMiner 1.5.24-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for Maxwell GPUs by SP (source). This version includes quite a lot of fixes as well as some minor performance improvements and fixes in the latest code since the last binary we have compiled some days ago, so you might want to update to get a bit faster and more stable mining performance. The version from SP is designed for running on Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as GTX 750 and 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 970 and 980 and it also includes some additional performance optimizations. The windows binary release we have available here is compiled with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.
