It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
Earlier this year we have started testing and using the Haasbot trading bot by getting a full license for the software. Initially we have liked the ease of use and functionality of the software, so we started playing with it trying various things. Soon however we’ve started discovering small, but annoying things that have led to stopping to use it like getting frequent software updates that essentially deleted some or all of the configured trading bots and having to set them up again. The software updates were good as they added new functionality and improvements, but then the software started loosing track of the things happening on the market and there was a slow period for the authors of the software stopping to release updates while preparing for the major release 1.0.
Earlier this month the Haasbot Automated Trading Bot 1.0 was released with a lot of new features and additions, but one of the most important ones are the addition of a lot more exchanges where you can trade such as Bitstamp, Bitfinex, BTC-E, Kraken, Huobi, Bittrex, Cryptsy, CampBX, CEX.IO, and Poloniex with more getting added. The new version of the trading bot comes with new prices as well that seem to be more accessible than before, however the standard licenses start with shorter period of just 3 months, though you can extend for 6 or 12 months with some additional discount. The Beginner and Standard License allow you to get a feel of the basic bot functionality before deciding should you need to invest in the unlimited in terms of features Advanced version. It seems that we should check the new version of the software giving it another chance, hopefully this time we are going to continue using it longer and be happy with the results without the annoying issues from the past.

KNCMiner has announced that they will have a new 16 nm based ASIC chip called Solar ready in early 2015 (most likely a SHA-256 ASIC for Bitcoin mining). The company expects that their 5000+ core Solar 16nm (FinFET) processor technology will deliver at least a six-fold increase in performance compared to the previous generation 20nm hardware thus achieving 0.07 Watts per GHS. This should allow an increase of up to 10 times in the hashrate with the same power consumption of the previous generation of hardware. Interestingly enough the company only announced the new chips only and no miners that will be based on them, something that may not be so bad as an idea considering the negative opinion miners have on pre-orders including the previous ones from KNC. Regardless, it will be harder for KNC to sell new miners to customers unless they already have the hardware available and ready for shipping and not giving promises that they may not keep on shipping date. So the fact that no ASIC miner products using the new Solar chips are being announced yet could mean KNC can decide to use them in their cloud data centers only and not offer them to end users at all. KNCMiner is not without a competition however, CoinTerra, another ASIC manufacturer has already announced that they are working on 16nm chips and that miners based on them will be available in 2015. The fact that the 16nm production process is not yet widely available and ready for mass production would however mean that the first ASIC chips made using it may be pricier, at least until the yield of good chips is high enough. The development of very complex chips with thousands of cores is another thing that will require a serious financial support, but apparently KNC does not need to make pre-orders this time to get the money required from miners.
After over a month of silence with no updates Alpha Technology have released a new update on their status on the Viper Scrypt ASIC miners showing some photos of what seems to be the final enclosure of the miner as well as a board with 12 ASIC chips installed on it. Alpha Technology claims a better than expected performance of 1.5 MHS per chip and also says the chips could be overclocked further, the claim of these chips being “the most efficient on the market” however seems like an overstatement. The most important thing missing is information in the new update from Alpha Technology on when are they planning to stat shipping exactly as customers are already tired of things getting postponed for a later date. This Time Alpha Technology says soon, but how soon exactly and how many people are actually let that did not request to get a refund. Even if they do manage to ship any hardware anytime soon or at all we won’t be surprised to see the situation with KNC’s Titan miners repeating. Meanwhile there is already a dedicated website called Fight Alpha Technology Scam that is a forum dedicated to helping with useful information and advice people that want to get their money back from Alpha-T.
