It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
The cloud mining services CEX.IO has added a new trading pair in their exchange, so now you can sell your IXC for BTC directly without having to move them to another exchange. The iXcoin is merge mined with Bitcoin, so you actually get it as a bonus that adds something extra to your Bitcoin profit when mining BTC either with cloud hashrate that you have purchased or by mining at the Ghash.io mining pool with your own mining hardware. The exchange already had Namecoin (NMC) trading and so now the only thing left from the merge mined coins with Bitcoin that needs to be added is the DEVcoin trading. The service has already hinted us that they plan to add USD support to their exchange option that would also allow customers of the service to buy cloud mining hashrate with cash and not only with coins. And with more and more Scrypt ASIC miners starting to hit the market it might not be too long before they also start adding Litecoin cloud mining as an option along the already offered Bitcoin cloud mining option. There are still no dates announced when these features will be made available however.
The service offering users to sell their hashrate or rent mining rigs MiningRigRentals has added support for people willing to sell their hashrate in the form of Blake-256 and X13 as well as an option for people to rent minign rigs for mining crypto coins using these algorithms such as BlakeCoin or MaruCoin for example. Of course the service offers the quite popular at the moment X11 mining rigs as well as Scrypt, Scrypt-N and Sha-256, though these can also be found on other alternative services. If you are mining X11 or X13 algorithm coins or are willing to sell your hashrate in the service for example make sure that you are using the latest miners that offer the highest possible performance that were released in the last few days. Currently there are still not many rigs available for renting for Blake-256 mining, but since the interest in this algorithm is growing due to the recent merged mining support for BlakeCoin along with 4 other cryptos you might want to consider renting your hashrate for that algorithm. Though the interest in X11 and X13 mining at the moment also gives a good chance for people that are willing to rent their hashrate, as well as for people that want to rent some extra hashrate to get early on new coin launches with more hashrate.

The fork of sph-sgminer from lasybear released a few days ago has received an update with support for mining X13 crypto coins such as MaruCoin. The update for X13 support follows the idea of the previous optimization of the kernel for X11 and also brings improved performance. Do note that there is no need to download this update if you are mining X11 as it will not bring further performance increase to X11 mining, the optimizations in this build are only for X13 coins.
With the official sph-sgminer we were getting around 1.5 MHS mining MaruCoin (X13 coin) and with the windows binary we have compiled (source here) we are able to get up to about 2.65 MHS on a Radeon R9 280X GPU as you can see on the screenshot. Just edit the included config file that is already setup for X13 mining and you are ready to mine X13 coins with a nice performance boost. Do note that currently X13 is GPU mineable only with AMD graphic processors, there is still no miner available for use on Nvidia GPUs.
The Windows binary has been updated to the latest source that includes a fix for for older AMD Radeon HD 5xxx/6xxx series cards. For these cards you need to use “kernel” : “x13modold” in config file or -k x13modold from the command line. For newer cards such as Radeon HD 7xxx or the R7/R9 series you need to use the standard x13mod kernel.
