The Crypto Currency Exchange Kraken Adds DOGE to USD and EUR Trading

Some really good news for people mining and trading DOGE, one of the best so far crypto currency exchanges for people based in Europe – Kraken has added DOGE to EURO trading (DGE/EUR) and DOGE/BTC though they call it DGE/XBT, along with DGE/LTC, NMC/DGE and USD/DGE. Kraken are famous for their really fast service for Depositing and Withdrawing using SEPA transfers in EU and they are really setting up a high standard to other exchanges especially if you compare them to MtGox that are the benchmark for SLOW deposits and withdraws and other various issues as we’ve seen. Of course the Kraken exchange is not that big as MtGox and since DOGE trading is really new there the volume can be low at first but in just a few days things will probably get moving quickly as more people start trading DOGE there. And while this happens you can register and get your account verified in order to lift the initial restricting limits that you have set at the exchange.

MtGox Exchange Rate Still Going Down, BTC Withdraws not Yet Resumed

In a previous statement regarding the situation with the suspended BTC withdraws at MtGox the company has said that this Thursday (today) they could restore the normal operations including BTC withdraws as they have worked on a workaround to prevent fraudulent use of the reported malleability issue with BTC transactions. Today however they have released an update on the situation and they still haven’t restored normal BTC withdraw operations while meanwhile the exchange rate of BTC at MtGox continues to fall and is closing to $100 USD mark. The good thing is that the exchange rate of BTC in other major exchanges has stabilized already and is not affected that much by MtGox’s very low rate because of the BTC withdraws being suspended there for a while already. Below is the official statement from MtGox from today:

Thank you for your patience this week while we are working on re-initiating bitcoin withdrawals. In addition to the technical issue, this week we have experienced some security problems, and as a result we had to relocate MtGox to our previous office building in Shibuya (details can be found here https://support.mtgox.com/home). The move, combined with some other security and technical challenges, pushed back our progress.

As much as we didn’t want to only provide an “update on an update”, this is the current status. We are committed to solving this issue and will provide more information as soon as possible to keep everyone in the loop.

We are very sorry for the delays and deeply appreciate your kind understanding and continuous support.

Darkcoin (DRK) X11 alternative cryptocoin, Now DASH (DASH)

DarkCoin (DRK), now renamed to DASH, aims to be the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency with fully encrypted transactions and anonymous block transactions. These features are a work on progress and will be released in stages in the near future. DarkCoin (DRK) uses a specialized CPU and GPU miners, so you will need to download these in order to be able to mine this new crypto, download links are available below.

DarkCoin uses a new chained hashing algorithm approach, with many new scientific hashing algorithms for the proof-of-work. This is so that the processing distribution is fair and coins will be distributed in much the same way Bitcoins were originally. ASICs will be much more difficult to make for these algorithms and will take years, so GPU mining should be the main solution for mining these coins.
