new-litecoin-difficulty-drop

The Litecoin Difficulty has dropped again slightly – from 3300 down to 2820, so the LTC mining profitability is yet again higher than on the previous difficulty. The reason of course are the many users mining for DOGE, LOTO, TIPS and other alternative crypto coins instead of directly mining LTC. The higher profitability of DOGE compared to Litecoin makes it worthwhile to mine DOGE and trade it for LTC and directly mine for Litecoins. Though the difference with the new lower LTC difficulty is not that big as on the previous one, so some people may move back directly mining LTC and thus the next difficulty update will most likely lead to increase.

butterbot-testing-btce-day-4

4 days have passes since we started testing the Butterbot automated Bitcoin trading bot and it is time to share what has happened in the last 24 hours. There were no trades on the BTC-e exchange, so we still remain with 25.2104 USD as balance in our account. The market seems to be moving towards a rise in the BTC price, but the bot has not yet acted on that, probably tomorrow we’ll see some more activity.

butterbot-testing-mtgox-day-2

The second day testing the Butterbot ont he MtGox exchange has also passes and today we’ve had the first trade executed, the bot acted on the downtrending of the market and has sold the 0.04 BTC from the balance, so we ended up with 37.37 USD. As you can see the bot is not doing a lot of trades, it is playing safer with a lower profit as per still the more conservative settings we are using, though we are getting the hang of things and are already optimizing the EMA trading settings for both exchanges differently in order to get better results. Of course the market activity is also important and at the moment it seems there is nothing that much happening on the market and things are moving slowly. We are continuing to test the Butterbot during our trial period and will report how things progress.

The Bitcoin Cloud Hashing service CEX.IO is currently down for an hour for maintenance. This downtime includes only the CEX front-end and the uk1.ghash.io pool, the us1.ghash.io pool and the ghash.io pool frontend are working just fine (you can switch to the US pool). The maintenance mode should continue for an hour and after that everything should be back to normal. During the downtime your cloud mining hashrate should continue mining for you and it should already be about double than normal in order to compensate you for the yesterday’s downtime.

Update: The services are fully restored now and everything should be back to normal.
