It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
The latest Nanominer 1.9.1 mining software has added support for the new KAWPOW algorithm used by Ravencoin (RVN) for AMD GPUs with Nvidia GPU support expected soon to be available as well. This is essentially the second GPU miner to support KAWPOW on AMD with the other one being NBMiner with both miners being closed source and with 2% development fee for the KAWPOW algorithm. Nanominer claims they use their own custom implementation for KAWPOW and we see slightly higher hashrate compared to what we get with NBMiner on the same AMD Radeon RX 580 GPUs, though both miners do manage to produce slightly above 10 MH/s on our test setup. We remind you that since KAWPOW is based on ProgPoW it is also GPU intensive and not so much memory dependent, so overclocking the graphic processor can help increasing hashrate.
Nanominer is a closed source miner developed by Nanopool available for Linux and Windows and supporting AMD and Nvidia GPUs as well as CPUs for mining. The supported algorithms for GPUs include: Ethash and Ubqhash with 1% dev fee, KawPow with 2% dev fee, Cuckaroo30 at 5% dev fee. The supported CPU algorithms are RandomX with 2% dev fee and RandomHash2 at 5% with support for mining CPU and GPU algorithms at the same time.

The latest CryptoNight AMD GPU miner SRBMiner 1.8.8 comes with a significantly reduced CPU usage of up to ~50% that can be noticed on CryptoNight algorithms with small scratchpad like UPX2 and Turtle for example. This can be helpful on GPU mining rigs where the CPUs are struggling to provide enough performance and as a side effect there could be a slight performance boost for RX cards on UPX2. The new version brings some usability and functionality changes as well to make the use of the miner easier and more problem free.
You can find the full changelog for the latest release quoted below. Do note that the developer fee is ~0.85% for both normal mode and algorithm switching mode as SRBMiner is a closed source miner available for AMD GPU miners only under Windows.
SRBMiner V1.8.8 Full Cangelog:
– Reduced CPU usage up to ~50%, can be noticed on algos with small scratchpad
– User is now informed about tweaking status on the screen too, not just in log
– No more--gpureorder
, device ordering by bus id is now the default/only display mode
– Added parameter--watchdogrounds
, which controls after how many rounds will watchdog trigger
– min_rig_speed_duration default is 1 minute now, because of the new--watchdogrounds
parameter
– Fixed a few cosmetical things on web stats

The latest version 1.8.4 of the CryptoNight AMD GPU miner SRBMiner brings significant performance boost for all of AMD’s HBM memory based GPUs, namely the Radeon Vega56, Vega 64, Vega FE and the latest Radeon VII with HBM2 video memory. The performance boost for these video cards can be up to about 15%, so definitely worth upgrading any mining rigs with the newly released miner for the extra hashrate you will be getting… and that apparently goes for all of the supported algorithms! To take advantage of the extra performance boost you need to play around with the new parameter tweak_profile
checking the level of tweak profile that your GPUs can handle and applying it. Apparently the improvement is based on memory timings modification thanks to the work of Eliovp and his useful AMD Memory Tweak Tool.
