Nicehash has forked SP’s ccMiner 1.5.80 GPU miner for Nvidia MAxwell GPUs (source) and has added significantly improved support for the Lyra2REv2 algorithm that can apparently provide up to 100% increase in terms of performance. SO if you are mining a crypto currency that uses the Lyra2REv2 algorithm or are selling your hashrate on Nicehash, then you might want to go for the new miner. We have compiled a 32-bit Windows binary, using VS2013 with CUDA 7.5 that you can download and try. Do note that it is compiled only for Nvidia Maxwell GPUs supporting Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 such as GTX 750, 750 Ti, GTX 950 GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980, GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X.

Time for an update to our Miner Control based package for GTX 750 Ti GPUs. We’ve included an up to date ccMiner fork 1.5.42-git windows binary from SP (compiled for Maxwell cards with Compute 5.0 and 5.2 only). The GTX 750 Ti package is configured to work with NiceHash, WestHash and Yaamp pools, supporting the more profitable X11, X13, X14, X15, Keccack, Lyra2RE and Quark algorithms. We have also added the WhirlpoolX algorithm as well as Qubit, though it still seems that mining Quark/Qubit is still the most profitable on Nvidia GPUs most of the time as compared to other popular algorithms.

You can download the package below with settings already set for non-overclocked GTX 750 Ti, if you are going to be using it on multiple card mining rigs you need to multiply the hashrate for the algorithms supported. The package will also function just fine on GTX 960, GTX 970 and GTX 980 cards where you would need to set the power usage and hashrate numbers for your respective hardware to get the correct calculations working. To be ready to use it you just need to update the account settings for each pool to reflect your BTC payment address. Do note that the default configuration that we have left is set to mine from time to time for the author of the software (Miner Control) as a donation alternative, but you can change that setting should you wish to.

A new update from the latest code of the ccMiner 1.5.41-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards by SP (source) in the form of a compiled Windows binary. The latest version comes with some fixes and additional performance increase in multiple algorithms and seems to be working stable with most of the more common algorithms supported. It seems that the latest code and maybe some releases before that do have some issue with Lyra2RE support on GTX 960, the default launch parameters seem to be wrong resulting in driver crash, so you might want to try manually setting intensity 19 or 20 to make it work properly. The SP-MOD fork is designed for running on Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970 and GTX 980. The windows binary release we have made available here is compiled with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.
