It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
There have been some updates in the Heavycoin GPU miner that bring out extra performance, so we have compiled a windows binary from the latest source. The results are quite good and we do recommend you to update the miner if you are still using the older version to mine HVC on AMD graphic cards. With the older release that we have compiled and published here we’ve got around 5.1 MHS from a single Radeon R9 280X GPU and with the latest binary we are getting up to about 7.2 MHS with the same hardware, so definitely a very good improvement performance wise. Below you can download cgminer 3.7.3 with support for HVC GPU mining compiled for windows.

So long with Heavycoin (HVC) being a CPU only coin, now there is an OpenCL miner available for GPU mining the coin with a much faster speed than on a processor. We have compiled the modified version of cgminer 3.7.3 with Heavycoin support for windows and you can download the binary from the link below (source). We are getting about 5 MHS on Radeon R9 280x GPUs as you can see on the screenshot. We have tested the miner and can confirm it is working fine on the 1GH HVC pool, though it may also work on others as well. Due to the rapid increase in pool load you might want to try using hvcpool.1gh.com and hvcpool2.1gh.com as backup, also make sure configure the miner. And soon we may also see a CUDA miner for GPU mining Heavycoin also available from the developer of cudaminer as well. So no longer point in mining HVC on the CPU only anymore.

There is now a new Heavycoin (HVC) cpuminer available compiled for 64-bit systems that offers increased performance with up to about 30% than the previously available miner. This version of the miner has been compiled from the source code of the 1GH pool modified miner, they don’t yet have it available as a binary on their HVC pool. We have tested it and it indeed works better and offers higher performance (depends on the CPU used), so if you are mining the Heavycoin crypto, then you should update your miners. Note that there are some people that claim to have already working GPU miners for HVC, be wary of such people asking you to pay for the miner with crypto as it is most likely a scam! There is currently no GPU miner available for Heavycoin and though it might be possible for such, none is available for the moment at least. Meanwhile you can update your CPU miner to get some extra boost in the hasrate you are already getting from your miners. Also note that the current reward per block for HVC has been increased to 861 for the moment from the previous award of 657 HVC per block, so you will be mining more coins because of that as well.
