The CryptoDredge miner has started as a faster alternative for Nvidia miners for the Lyra2REv2 algorithm, but since then it has been evolving into a multi-functional miner that supports more algorithms and provides good performance in them as well. The latest version of CryptoDredge brings performance improvements in a few algorithms and also support for the Tribus crypto algorithm. You can expect to get around 15-30% faster hashrate in Allium and Phi2 and about 18-35% faster performance in Lyra2z with the version 0.8.0, depending on your GPUs. Do note that as a result of the increased performance the energy consumption might also increase, so if your GPUs get hotter just decrease the TDP limit a bit. Also you might need to update the video drivers to the latest release if you are using an older version. We are reminding you that CryptoDredge is a closed source miner that comes with 1% built-in developer fee, so there is no source code and only binary releases available for both Windows and Linux.

CryptoDredge is a relatively new Nvidia GPU miner that we are using mostly for its great Lyra2REv2 performance, though the miner also supports a number of other mining algorithms with good performance as well. The just released latest version of the software CryptoDredge 0.7.0 comes with just some improvements and fixes, but more importantly there is now a Linux binary available and not only a Windows one. We need to remind you that CryptoDredge is a closed source miner that comes with 1% built-in developer fee, so there is no source code and only binary releases available that you can use. Feel free to compare performance o Windows and Linux versions of the miner and report your results in the comments below.

CryptoDredge is a new Nvidia GPU miner that we have recently talked about as it is offering one of the best Lyra2REv2 performance at the moment. It is a closed source miner that support the following algorithms: Allium, Lyra2REv2, Lyra2z, NeoScrypt and PHI1612 and requires Nvidia GPUs with Compute Capability 5.0 or newer (Maxwell or Pascal architecture). There is a 1% developer fee built-in, so make sure you are Ok with these before checking it out if you still haven’t and make sure to update if you are using the miner already, as it is quite interesting for people mining crypto coins using Lyra2REv2 and Lyra2z algorithms.

The latest version CryptoDredge 0.4.1 adds a bit more performance improvement for Lyra2REv2, we are seeing about 5% increase on GTX 1080 Ti compared to the previous version of the miner, though note that the improvement may vary from one to another GPU. Another interesting improvement is that Lyra2Z should now be mineable on all of the supported Nvidia GPUs and not only on GTX 1050 GPUs. The third interesting new feature is that the miner should now be able to check for new versions and report the availability of such, no auto updating though and we still need to check the feature out when a new version comes out.
