It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
Dynastycoin (DCY) is another crypto project that has forked to RandomX, initially started a couple of years ago and targeted towards Italian crypto users. Originally a CryptoNight coin when project was conceived, Dynastycoin (DCY) has apparently forked to RandomX near the end of last year around the time Monero has switched to the new algorithm as well. The fact that the project has been targeted towards a specific user base has resulted in limited popularity among non-Italian users. One of the reasons that we have discovered the project just recently as well, so if you are looking for alternative RandomX-based crypto coins you might want to check the coin out. The project hovers around the 1000th place on CoinMarketCap, however the daily volume seems really low as the coin is listed on just a few some smaller crypto exchanges and apparently trading users that are into DCY are now very active.
We remind you that mining RandomX is done mainly on CPUs, there are GPU miners available, but performance is very low compared to CPU mining as the algorithm is designed to be CPU friendly. Owners of AMD’s latest generation Ryzen processors have performance advantage over Intel CPUs as far as RandomX is concerned. Other than that the more CPU cores you have, the better performance you should expect to get with RandomX mining.

Quantum (QRL) is another crypto project that has recently successfully forked to the RandomX algorithm, the project initially launched with CryptoNight algorithm. Now with the fork to RandomX mining QRL is viable only with CPUs as although there are GPU miners available, the performance of CPU mining of RandomX, especially with the latest AMD Ryzen processors is significantly better in terms of performance and efficiency compared to GPUs. Of course the latest hardfork brings some additional new features to the Quantum project besides the switch to the RandomX algorithm that you might want to check out as well if interested. There are a number of RandomX miners out there available for you to use for mining Quantum such as XMRig, SRBMiner-Multi and XMR-STAK-RX. If you are looking for an exchange where you can trade QRL, then Bittrex is probably the one to go for, although it might not have the largest trading volume.
The DERO project is another crypto that last year had announced their plans to switch the mining algorithm to a RandomX variant and they are finally doing it. Tomorrow, March 7th at block 4550555, marks the time that DERO will be switching to the new CPU mining POW called AstroBWT. So if you are into CPU mining you might want to give it a try after the fork and see what DERO will do with the new algorithm. The project itself has been available for quite some time and has been in constant development, relying on the CryptoNight algorithm prior the upcoming fork to their new AstroBWT algorithm
AstroBWT is a CPU mining only algorithm and apart from the official miner for the algorithm, there is also the latest XMRig 5.8.x major release that added support for the algorithm a few days ago and the minor releases since then have improved it by fixing issues and significantly increasing mining performance. So make sure you try XMRig on your CPU mining hardware it time for the fork in order to be ready when the hardfork happens, that is if you do plan to try mining DERO with the new AstroBWT algorithm. Trading of DERO coins can be done on the following crypto exchanges: Stex, Crex, TOKOK and Citex.
