It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
We got a request for an up to date windows binary of the latest official sgminer 4.2.1 (source), so here it is. Do note that this is the standard version of sgminer that in intended for Scrypt mining and does not support a lot of alternative crypto algorithms, for that you will need to get sph-sgminer, a fork based on an older version of the official sgminer, namely sgminer 4.1.0. From the link below you can download the latest sgminer 4.2.1 Scrypt GPU miner for windows.

The software bfgminer 4.0.0 has been released and now the latest version does come with official support for Gridseed-based ASIC devices built-in, among a lot of other new features and improvements. The miner is intended for mining Scrypt and SHA-256 crypto currencies and the biggest advantage is the support for many ASIC miners, though most of these are still for Bitcoin mining and not for Scrypt. If used for Gridseed ASIC mining the advantage here is that you don’t need to replace the virtual USB to COM drivers with WinUSB or to send as parameters the COM ports for the ASIC devices to the miner – they will be autodetected. Below you can download the compiled windows binaries for the miner (32 and 64-bit) and be sure to check the example BAT files for running on Gridseed ASICs or just for Scrypt mining with a GPU. You can also compile bfgminer from source if you are using other operating system for example.

It seems that the author of cgminer has removed the compiled Windows version of cgminer 3.7.2 from the official download location here and you may have a hard time finding it at a different safe location. The cgminer version 3.7.2 is the latest official version of cgminer with GPU mining support, all newer versions are designed for use only with SHA-256 ASIC miners for Bitcoins and will not work on GPUs for scrypt mining anymore. So if you are mining for Litecoin (LTC) or other alternative scrypt-based crypto currency you would need to download cgminer 3.7.2 in order to be able to use your graphics cards for mining it. The official download location only offers source code versions of the cgminer and that goes for cgminer 4.0 or newer only. So if you need to download cgminer 3.7.2 for Windows you can do so from the link below as we have provided a mirror location.
Example command line for Scrypt mining:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:7777 -u yourworker.1 -p password
Alternatively you can edit the cgminer.conf file with your mining settings and just run the cgminer.exe executable file to start mining.
