Innosilicon just came up with two new ASIC miners, one is for Decred (DCR) and the other one is for SiaCoin (SC) joining in with other ASIC manufacturers that have already announced miners for these coins. The Innosilicon D9 DecredMaster ASIC miner is apparently capable of delivering 2.1 TH/s hashrate for mining Decred (DCR) with 900 Watts of power usage. The new Decred ASIC miner is priced at $6800 USD (54.487 LTC or 0.942194 BTC) without a power supply or shipping cost included and should start shipping from 27th April, 2018.

Innosilicon D9 DecredMaster Specifications:
– Hashrate: 2.1 TH/s (+/-8%)
– Power Consumption: 900W (+/-8%, normal mode, at the wall, with 93% efficiency PSU, 25°C temperature )
– Chip Type: D9 DecredMaster ASIC
– Dimensions: Single Tube, 310 mm(L)*130mm(W)*155mm(H)
– Net Weight: 3.6KG
– Operating Temperature: 0°C—85°C (device junction temperature)
– Network Connection: Ethernet

The Innosilicon S11 SiaMaster ASCI miner is apparently designed for Siacoin (SC) mining and should be capable of delivering 3.83 TH/s with a power usage of 1380 Watts. The price of the new Siacoin (SC) ASIC miner is currently set at $3500 USD (28.045 LTC or 0.484953 BTC) without a power supply or shipping cost included and should start shipping from 27th April, 2018 as well.

Innosilicon S11 SiaMaster Specifications:
– Hashrate: 3.83 TH/s (+/-8%)
– Power Consumption: 1380W (+/-8%, normal mode, at the wall, with 93% efficiency PSU, 25°C temperature )
– Chip Type: S11 SiaMaster ASIC
– Dimensions: Single Tube, 290 mm(L)*130mm(W)*155mm(H)

Just after the announcement of their new DragonMint B29 Blake256 ASIC Miner for Decred (DCR), Halong Mining has also started taking orders for a new DragonMint B52 Blake2b ASIC Miner for Siacoin (SC) or other Blake2b POW coins. The hashrate of the new ASIC miner is cited as 3.83 THS for Siacoin mining at 1380 Watt of power usage, so a serious device in terms of hasrate compared to other alternative options from Bitmain A3 (already available) and Obelisk SC1 (upcoming).

Where the Halong Mining DragonMint B52 Blake2b ASIC Miner is suffering is the price, although almost half of the Decred miner they started selling, the B52 Blake2b ASIC miner is still pricey at $5549 USD. Even when considering that the price includes a power supply and free shipping it is pretty steep for an ASIC miner that can be used for just one cryptocurrency for the moment. Halong Mining should start shipping these new miners by the end of the month, so you can expect a pretty big jump in term of the total network hashrate for mining Siacoin.

Things around the SiaCoin (SC) ASIC miner market seem to be heating up lately as soon after the new BitMain Antminer A3 Blake (2b) ASIC miner was announced there is a fresh new announcement coming from another new ASIC manufacturer for a Blake2b ASIC Miner. The DragonMint B52 Blake2b ASIC miner was just announced by Halong Mining, a newcomer on the ASIC market that looks promising, but we are yet to see it start delivering any mining hardware.

The device they have announced is supposedly capable of 3.5 THS Blake2b mining hashrate at 1000W -/+8% with 135 ASIC chips, making it probably the most efficient ASIC for SiaCoin (SC) if they manage to deliver what they are promising of course. There are not many details, including price or release date for the device and it seems more of a move to judge the interest by launching a waitlist, but still interesting to see there are possible alternatives popping up. So you might want to keep an eye on the product and join the waitlist to get more details as soon as they become available.
