The latest NBMiner 30.0 update comes with a built-in replacement for the OhGodAnETHlargementPill memory timings optimization tool for Nvidia GPU owners of GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti with GDDR5X video memory. The implementation from NBMiner does however requires the use of a custom unsigned driver under Windows and admin privileges under Linux, so not as easy as just running a custom executable file to enable the tweaks. Once implemented however it could allow for greater flexibility as you have the option to use different levels of optimizations for the memory timings via command line parameters. Have in mind that not all crypto algorithms may benefit from memory timings optimization, here are the two options you need to use to enable and activate the memory tings optimizations in the latest version of NBMiner.
--mt, --memory-tweak
Memory timings optimize for Nvidia GDDR5 & GDDR5X gpus. range [1-6]. Higher value equals higher hashrate. Individual value can be set via comma seperated list. Power limit may need to be tuned up to get more hashrate. Higher reject share ratio can happen if mining rig hits high temperature, set lower value of -mt can reduce reject ratio. Under windows, a custom driver need to be installed before using -mt, see description of --driver for more detail. Admin priviledge is needed to run under linux, sudo ./nbminer -mt x. OhGodAnETHlargementPill is not needed anymore if -mt is enabled when mining on 1080 & 1080ti GPUs.
--driverWindows only option, install / uninstall driver for memory tweak. Run with admin priviledge. install: nbminer.exe --driver install, uninstall: nbminer.exe --driver uninstall. Note: the installed custom driver is not signed by microsoft, users need to disable secure boot in BIOS settings to get the driver work.

The latest NBMiner 29.0 update comes with added support for the KAWPOW algorithm that is going to soon be used by RavenCoin (RVN)… most likely. The KAWPAW algorithm is based on ProgPoW with some parameters specific for Ravencoin, so a regular ProgPow miner won’t do. So now, besides the official kawpowminer and the recently released Gminer with KAWPOW support you also have a third alternative in the form of the latest NBMiner and others will most likely follow as well. It seems however that all of the miners could be based on the same reference ProgPow codebase and there is currently not much of a performance difference apparently, so it is more like which one you are more used to. Below you can see an official list of the expected performance on popular mining GPUs at default stock settings for the KAWPOW algorithm when using NBMiner:
