The X16R crypto algorithm introduced by RavenCoin (RVN) is getting more widely supported now that NiceHash has added support for users to sell and purchase X16R mining hashrate. Alogng with the support on the website for X16R the Excavator Nvidia GPU miner software developed by the service and also a part of their NiceHash Miner software also got support for the X16R algorithm. Apart for the new support of the X16R crypto algorithm, the Excavator miner also supports the following algorithms on more recent Nvidia GPUs: equihash, pascal, decred, sia, lbry, blake2s, daggerhashimoto, lyra2rev2, keccak, neoscrypt, cryptonightV7 and lyra2z as well as three dual mining modes: daggerhashimoto_decred, daggerhashimoto_sia and daggerhashimoto_pascal. Do note that the Excavator miner is a closed source miner available as a binary for Windows and Linux…

Silent Miner is a new fork of ccminer for mining Ravencoin’s (RVN) X16r algorithm that tries to compete with the fastest z-enemy miner in terms of performance. Previous versions of the Silent Miner were a bit slower compared to the latest z-enemy 1.08, but the latest updates might indeed bring the performance to a very similar level. Silent Miner is a closed source miner available only for Windows for the moment and it comes with 1% developer fee built-in, so if you are not Ok with any of these there are plenty of open-source alternatives for X16r available out there that you can use.

Ocminer, the admin of the Suprnova mining pools, has been pretty actively maintaining and further improving his supminer fork of ccminer (source) adding numerous performance improvements for the X16r and X16S mining algorithms. So if you are mining either Ravencoin (RVN) that uses the X16r algorithm or Pigeoncoin (PGN) that uses the X16S algorithm you might want to try the supminer or update it if you already use an older version than the latest 1.5. In the last two days there were numerous performance updates regarding various algorithms that are a part of the X16r and X16S, so supminer could as well be the fastest miner for RVN and PGN at the moment. The miner is free and open-source with a 32-bit Windows binary release also available compiled for CUDA 9.1 (require R390 or newer Nvidia video drivers).
