Another update in the form of a Windows binary compiled from the latest Git source code of ccMiner 1.5.53-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards by SP (source). The latest update includes performance improvements in X11 as well as some more Quark optimizations for even better hashrate. The SP-MOD fork of ccMiner is designed for Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980 and GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X. The Windows binary release we have made available here is with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards compiled with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.

Time for a new quick update in the form of a Windows binary compiled from the latest Git source code of ccMiner 1.5.52-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards by SP (source). This version includes some performance improvements in some of the supported algorithms such as Lyra2RE for GTX 970 and more Quark optimizations for improved hashrate, so as usual you might want to update for the best performance. As it seems that at the moment Lyra2RE and Quark are the most profitable algorithms to mine with GPU. The SP-MOD fork of ccMiner is designed for Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970 and GTX 980. The Windows binary release we have made available here is compiled with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.

Last year we have published a quick guide to help people with Nvidia-based GPUs to go for the right fork of ccMiner based on their video card capabilities, so it is time we update that guide with the latest Nvidia GPUs. Below is a list of all of the Nvidia-based video cards and their Compute capabilities to help you figure it out depending on what video card you are using. Do note that the list does not include only the consumer Geforce series, but also Quadro and Tesla. You will find the cards that have at least Compute 2.0 capabilities as there is no way to currently make use of an older GPU than a one capable of supporting Compute 2.0 for mining with ccMiner. Furthermore you need to use a special build of ccMiner that comes with support for Compute 2.0 and 2.1 cards as the latest official builds only support Compute 3.0 or newer GPUs (not all of the more recent algorithms are supported). Below is the list of cards and their Compute capabilities you can find links for the respective versions of ccMiner to use…
