There is a new official release of tpruvot’s ccMiner fork version 2.2.3 available (source) with new algorithms supported and additional improvements. The latest version brings support for Polytimos algorithm as well as support for the KeccakC algorithm, along with an optimized Keccak support for SM5+ GPUs, based on alexis78 improvements. The official Windows binaries for the new version are compiled for SM 3 Nvidia GPUs and CUDA 9 only (require driver version 384.xx or newer) and are available in 32-bit as well as 64-bit version.

After a quick test of the KeccakC support we can suggest that you might want to try increasing the intensity over the default value for your GPU for some improvements in terms of performance, though even then there is still a faster fork of ccMiner with KeccakC support. If you are interested in mining CreativeCoin (CREA) that uses the KeccakC algorithm with best performance you might want to check out this ccMiner fork for optimal performance.

Here is a ccMiner fork based on alexis78 code, but with added support for the KeccakC algorightm (source) used for CreativeCoin (CREA) mining. KeccakC is a slightly different variation of the Keccak algorithm, but it still requires modified miner to support it, so you still need to use a compatible miner for coins like CREA that use it. If you are looking for an sgminer with KeccakC support check this Windows binary from the official project website (source).

We have compiled a 32-bit Windows binary of the ccMiner frok from cornz with KeccakC support as it was requested by readers and you can download and try it from the link below. It is compiled with Visual Studio 2013 and CUDA 7.5, the supported Nvidia GPUs are Maxwell or Pascal-based ones (Compute 5.0 or newer). The performance we are seeing is similar to that of the original Keccak algorithm, so you can expect to see similar performance if you have mined a Keccak-based coin recently. Again, have in mind that Keccak and KeccakC although similar are not compatible with each other and you need to use the respective algorithm for the coins that use it!

We have received some requests for the fastest public fork of ccMiner for the Keccak algorithm and it seems that the version from alexis78 (source) is giving one of the best performances out there from the popular open source forks. There seems to be even more optimized version available as a private miner being sold, though we have not tested that one and cannot comment on the performance it offers. Alternatively the ccMiner fork from KlausT (source) also does seem to offer very similar performance as far as Keccak mining goes.

We have prepared a 64-bit Windows binary compiled from the alexis78’s source using CUDA 8.0 and compiled with VC 2013 that you can download and try if you want to mine Keccak on NiceHash or directly mine a specific crypto coin using this mining algorithm for its Proof of Work (PoW). The default intensity might be a bit high for some cards, so you might want to dial it down a bit if the miner is unstable on your mining rigs. If you are interested how much a GTX 1080 Ti does using this miner for Keccak, well it can do 1200-1300 MH/s with optimized settings for lower power usage. If you are wondering which altcoin is driving the demand and profitability for Keccak lately it is apparently SmartCash (SMART), prior to that there was also a short peak for MaxCoin (MAX) as well a couple of weeks ago.
