It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
It seems that the CEX.io cloud mining service for Bitcoin has added support for Litecoin (LTC) mining in their pool Ghash.io and this could also be a sign that the service might also plan on introducing Litecoin cloud mining soon. The LTC mining pool is with a mining fee of 0% just like the fee for the Bitcoin mining pool.
Stratum Server: ltc.ghash.io:3333. Please use -scrypt -o stratum+tcp://ltc.ghash.io:3333 in your command line. You should name your workers username.
(e.g. username.worker1). Workers are added automatically, you can use any/empty password.
For the moment there is no official information about the addition of LTC mining pool or any future plans for adding LTC cloud mining capabilities, but we suspect that this is something that might soon happen…
Update: More alternative crypto pools are appearing on Ghash.io, aside from LTC there is now DOGE, AUR and FTC. Though unlike with LTC there is nothing yet in the CEX account balance for other new crypto coins, so it is a bit unclear how you will be getting the coins if you start mining them now.

If you are mining for alternative scrypt cryptos at the moment due to their higher profitability compared to LTC, you are probably already using Multipool or another similar automatic switching pool. We are using Multipool and set one mining rig with four 280X cards on Multipool and have set LTC Rabbit as a backup pool to test instead of WeMineLTC or Coinotron that we usually set as our backup. The idea behind that pool is that you mine for anternative scrypt-based cryptos based on profitability along with LTC and you are directly getting payed in LTC, so this there is no need to transfer the mined alternative coins to an exchange and trade them for LTC. This way you get extra profit than directly mining for LTC. Our idea was to see what you can expect to get when Multipool has issues and they do have and the connection to their pools drops, so the miner goes to the backup pool. The result we’ve got for 24 hours is 0.07 LTC profit at the backup pool and about 1.09 LTC when we exchanged the mined alternative cryptos from Multipool to LTC. So if you do not have a backup pool set it will be a wise idea to do so in your miner (cgminer does support that, CUDAminer does not yet) and do use a different mining pool. Meanwhile we are heading for another drop in LTC difficulty in few hours, so the profitability of alternative cryptos such as DOGE will drop compared to directly mining LTC…
DOGE coin is on the rise again, after being one of the best alternative scrypt-based crypto currencies to mine instead of LTC a few weeks ago. If you are currently mining LTC directly, then you should reconsider and start mining DOGE coin and after that selling the DOGE for LTC. This way you will make much better profit than directly mining for LTC coins, at the moment directly mining DOGE coins and selling for LTC you can double your profit. Simply said by mining DOGE coins you can end up with twice the profit than directly mining LTC coins at this moment and the profitability may go even higher than that. So if you have GPUs mining for LTC switch them to mine DOGE for now.
The other good thing about mining DOGE coins and trading them for LTC is that the LTC difficulty will not rise as much and in fact may even drop a bit, so it will be easier to mine Litecoins if and when DOGE is not that profitable anymore to mine. So definitely a win-win situation – you get about double profit and will make LTC easier to mine in the feature.
