Google is taking an aggressive stance regarding advertisements of cryptocurrencies and other related content, a move apparently as a direct result of concerns regarding ICOs and the scams surrounding some of them. The company has announced that it is going to ban crypto-related ads on their platform, so crypto advertisers will have to find other ways to promote their content starting June when Google will not be an option anymore. The updated financial services policy for ads on Google’s platforms is not going to affect only crypto currencies, but other financial products as well, for different business, for example a

.
Back in January Facebook announced it will ban advertisements promoting cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings due to concerns of misleading and deceptive ads being shown on their plaforms that could lead users to scams. Facebook’s ban also covered other financial products and services and not only crypto currencies and although it has been in effect for a while one could still see some crypto-related ads on Facebook.
The good news is that there are already some platforms available and others are popping up that are targeting the crypto currency advertisement space. Unfortunately these platforms also do have the same issue that Google and Facebook are facing – concerns that some of the advertisers might try to mislead and scam users.

This is why we can’t have nice things.
ICOs are garbage and going against crypto basics by design but newbies love to gamble with them.
So if this news halts the ICO/token craze and weed out most of the scammers and newbie gamblers then I think this is good news. Let’s face it, the top coins doesn’t need advertising, only shitcoins do. Spending money on ads is a dead giveaway of the team behind it is trying to pump it.
Only decentralized, trustless coins with natural growth should be taken seriously, the rest is just gambling in a fixed game giving a bad name to crypto – which this news proves.

Will they ban fiat money ads too? As long as i know, fiat money is used for scams, crime and so on..
I left my thoughts in the feedback box from that Google page.

I heard the FBI successfully pressured Facebook to ban the ads, and it looks like it has worked on Google as well.

&Crypto Dan: The FBI isn’t required to do that, common sense does. The vast majority of ICOs – which dominated previous last year – are scams. Some of them are not even intentionally scams, but the people behind them are way over their heads and can’t deliver their grandiose vision. They’re like kickstarter or startups. And because of the nature of cryptos, like Eth, with the biggest token platform, reversible payments or fraud protection doesn’t exist – which is a good thing in general since if those were exists, those would be exploited too.
People abuse things if they can make money out of them.
I just hope that all the people who got into crypto when BTC’s price skyrocketed will leave or learn to value legit cryptos and not just try to gamble with premined shitcoins that simply can’t end well.

If you do not know, any financial ADVERTISING is not allowed on every ad platform, not just google. This is more BS NEWS to scare people in high volatility markets, to me this means so the F what, if you are selling your coins you are stupid and are only hurting the market. Remember this is advertising not the selling value of a coin, it is for icos and other sh like that, a coin that has no market value. Google sucks if you do not have 50k a month to spend for advertising on adwords. So what man, where does advertising come into to play on the most world wide know coins being traded on a platform anyway. I think most people are being took for fools of all these news story’s that make no sense to the market but to make it fail like shorting the market, which is illegal and fraud.
