hashnest-umisoo-hashrate-problems

Hashnest, the Bitcoin cloud mining platform by BitMain, has been having trouble with the hashrate provided by their partner UMISOO for the last few days and the problem apparently still persists. Starting around 12th the hashrate provider UMISOO apparently suffered a power failure resulting in some reduction in the available to the users hashrate. The hashrate drop however has continued and the problem is still present with the actual total hashrate provided by UMISOO reported by Hashnest at just 0.5 THS instead of the normally available 4 THS. This all means that all of the users that have purchased Bitcoin cloud mining hashrate are currently getting much lower actual hashrate than they have paid for. Our test account at Hashnest with 120 GHS shows an average of just about 20 GHS for the last 24 hours and in the last few days the average hashrate we got was not much higher than that number. Getting reported at just about 1/6 of what you have paid for and the problem continuing for days without being resolved is a reason enough for us to recommend to stay away from Hashnest for the moment and if you were considering to invest in hashrate in the platform to think again. There is some talk about the problem being with just the reporting of hashrate as well as compensations from the hashrate provider that will be distributed to the miners, but it is hard to keep a track of what is actually going on as the service operators are not doing great job at keeping the users updated with the current situation.

The cloud mining platform ZeusHash operated by the ASIC manufacturer ZeusMiner is still now offering more attractive promotions for new users – each day from October 16th until October 20th new users will get the change to receive a gift bag with free cloud mining hashrate. The amount of hashrate they you may get for free from a gift bag is between 0.5 GHS – 100 GHS and it is all based on the luck you have.

For people that have already registered and cannot take advantage of the new Gift Bag promotion the service has another alternative to offer a discount in the price of the purchased hashrate. If you purchase 1 THS or more Bitcoin cloud mining hashrate you can get a price of $0.859 USD per GHS instead of the regular price of $0.889, and for purchases of 100 MHS or more Litecoin mining hashrate you can get a discounted price of $14.99 USD per MHS instead of the regular $15.99 USD.

After a short period of closed beta testing the new ZeusHash cloud mining service by ZeusMiner has been officially launched and is now open for registration. The users that have previously purchased ZeusHash Scrypt cloud mining hashrate will have their hashrate transferred to the new platform in the form of 1 year contract with no maintenance fees. The hashrate that can now be purchased directly through the new ZeusHash platform however does come in the form of unlimited contract with maintenance fees. The current cloud mining BTC/LTC hashrates are with prices of $0.889 USD per GHS for Bitcoin mining hashrate and $15.99 USD per MHS for Litecoin mining hashrate. Currently the service operates with maintenance fees fixed at $0.003 USD per day for each 1 GHS Bitcoin cloud hashrate and $0.059 USD for each 1 MHS worth of Scrypt cloud mining hashrate.

The initial closed beta test included 400 people, and now since the service is open for everyone to try it out and it was just launched there could be some issues with too high demand for users initially. Especially considering the fact that ZeusMiner has already announced that the first 100 users (number 1-100) who register for Zeushash will receive 4 GHS BitCoin node power and users between 101 and 1000 we will get 1 GHS BitCoin node power and 100 KHS LiteCoin node power for a month. At the moment it seems that the service appears a bit slow in terms of speed and may occasionally be unavailable, but hopefully this will soon be resolved. We already have our account and the hashrate from the old service already transferred to the new platform. The prices for the hashrate being sold are not bad, however the maintenance fees for the BTC hashrate are not so low as with some other alternative services. This is to be expected however as ZeusMiner does not make SHA-256 ASIC miners on their own, so as a Scrypt ASIC manufacturer their terms and prices for LTC mining are expected to be better.
