sgminer-5-4-0-siacoin-stratum

The first Siacoin (SC) mining pool with Stratum support by Suprnova is now available in beta and you are welcome to give it a try and report your experience with it. In theory the stratum support should result in further reducing the stale shares and improving efficiency, so if everything works fine you should be able to mine more coins for the same time. Again, a reminder that the pool is still in beta and since it was just recently launched it still has not found a block, but in order to attract users to test it out there is currently a promotion giving away 20% Bonus for every Block found on the pool. Do note that the pool requires a special fork of sgminer with support for Stratum for Siacoin (source).

Below you can find a 64-bit Windows binary of the miner for Siacoin (SC) mining that you need to use for mining on the pool. Our initial tests have shown that the miner offers similar performance to the one you can get with the Siacoin Go pool miner on other pools or just a bit faster with higher intensity. You may experiment with the settings and report what works best on your hardware, we have tested the miner on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs and it works fine on both. Again a reminder that the Siacoin stratum pool is still in beta, so it is for testing only and you might want to move just one GPU for example and not transfer all of your hashrate.

ccminer-1-7-6-r10-neoscrypt

Here is an updated ccMiner 1.7.6-r10 Widows binary of the Nanashi Meiyo-Meijin fork (source) with optimized Lyra2RE and Lyra2REv2 performance. The latest r10 update fixes the hashrate issues that were present with other versions of ccMiner on the latest Nvidia Pascal GPUs such as GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. You can see a brief test of the performance of the new 32-bit Windows binary of the miner compiled with VS2013 and CUDA 8.0 below.

ccMiner 1.7.6-r10 Neoscrypt performance:
– GTX 1080 – 985 KHS
– GTX 1070 – 889 KHS
– GTX 980 Ti – 840 KHS

Just as a reference the latest ccMiner fork by SP has managed to provide just about 365 KHS on GTX 1080 and 668 KHS on GTX 1070, so now you can fully utilize the performance of the new Nvidia Pascal GPUs for mining NeoScrypt-based crypto coins. Do note that the results quoted above are with

cpuminer-opt-3-3-7-windows

Here comes a cpuminer-opt Windows binary compiled from the latest (source) of the CPU miner with added optimizations for many algorithms using the AES-NI instruction set, though the miner also works on older SSE2 capable CPUs with lower performance. Up until recently the cpuminer-opt was available only for Linux users, but starting from version 3.3 there is also Windows support and we have compiled 64-bit binaries of the miner for Windows for the latest released version 3.3.7. The latest update brings some performance improvements such as the Lyra2 now being AES optimized and having +7% higher performance, a small increase of about 1% in most chained algorithms (X11, Quark, Lyra2v2, etc) and some fixes such as Lyra2v2 now being properly reported as AES optimized.

In the archive below you can find multiple executable files that are compiled for different CPU architectures that support AES-NI instructions, so you are welcome to try them to see what works best for you. If your processor does not support AES-NI (CPUS introduced 5 or more years ago), then you might want to use the cpuminer-sse2.exe binary. The default cpuminer.exe is compiled for Intel Westmere, the first Intel architecture that has support for the AES-NI instruction set and cpuminer-amd.exe is bdver1 which should work on all AMD processors with AES-NI support. If you have a more recent Intel Sandybridge, Ivybridge, Haswell or Broadwell-based processor you can try the respective binary to see if that will squeeze some extra performance, or you can compile directly on your PC with the native instruction set supported by your CPU.
