sgminer-myriad-groestl-optimized-kernel

A user called ghostlander on Bitcointalk has released a new optimized OpenCL kernel for the Myriad-Groestl algorithm that is supposed to give you at least 10% increase in performance compared to the public kernel available, but in reality the hashrate increase is much more significant. We have tested the new kernel with a Radeon R9 280X GPU and got over 31 MHS while with the latest sgminer kernel we have managed to get only about 10 MHs or with other words about 200% increase using intensity of 19. You can try to increase the intensity a bit more if your GPU manages to handle it ot squeeze a bit more extra performance as well over 19. So if you are mining a coin using the Myriad-Groestl such as DigiByte or Myriad on AMD hardware you should definitely consider upgrading the kernel (just replace the old .cl file with the new one) to get a lot of extra performance and increase your hashrate.

ccminer-1-5-70-sp-mod

A new update in the form of a Windows binary release compiled from the latest Git source code of the ccMiner 1.5.70-git SP-MOD fork by SP optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards (source) to bring things up to date. The latest release comes with some additional small performance increases for Lyra2REv2 as well as Quark which are among the profitable algorithms to mine at the moment on Nvidia GPUs as well as bringing back support for Whirlcoin. Do note that the SP-MOD fork of ccMiner is designed for Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980 and GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X. The Windows binary release we have made available here is with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based Nvidia video cards compiled with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.

Here comes a new update in the form of a Windows binary release compiled from the latest Git source code of the ccMiner 1.5.70-git SP-MOD fork by SP optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards (source). The latest release focuses mostly on fixes and there could be some slight performance increase due to adjustments of the default intensities for different algorithms if you are not using custom intensity levels. Do note that the SP-MOD fork of ccMiner is designed for Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980 and GTX 980 Ti and GTX Titan X.
