The latest SRBMiner-MULTI CPU and AMD GPU Miner version 0.4.3 has added support for the Tellor (TRB) algorithm for GPU mining, though not all mining pols are apparently supported as the miner is compatible with trb.uupool.cn and other pools that use the same stratum implementation, but will not work on hashpool.com. Do note that Tellor (TRB) can also be mined using the latest NBMiner 29.0 that also supports Nvidia GPU mining. However GPU mining for this algorithm may already be not be profitable for GPUS having in mind that the Tellor algorithm has recently been made available for Blackminer FPGA miners. Below you can find the full changelog for the latest SRBMiner-MULTI and a download link.

SRBMiner-MULTI CPU & AMD GPU Miner 0.4.3 changelog:
– Added ‘tellor’ algorithm (trb.uupool.cn compatible stratum)
– Improvements on ‘minotaur’ algorithm
– Guided setup fixed & simplified

The Handshake (HNS) project is gaining more attention as it is getting wider support from services that are allowing users to sell or buy hashpower such as NiceHash and MiningRigRentals (MRR). Handshake is a decentralized, permissionless naming protocol where every peer is validating and in charge of managing the root DNS naming zone with the goal of creating an alternative to existing Certificate Authorities and naming systems. So NiceHash has just added support for buying and selling hashrate for the Handshake algorithm on their platform and just recently added support for mining HNS in their dedicated multi-functional software for miners – NiceHash Miner 3.0.0.7.

You can of course also GPU mine Handshake (HNS) using the latest GMiner or NBMiner standalone software miners, though GPU mining may not be that profitable with BlackMiner F1 series FPGAs offering a bit better performance with lower power usage compared to GPUs. Unfortunately at the moment if you have hosted BlackMiner FPGAs you are apparently not able to utilize them with either NH or MRR, so these services are only available to users that have their own miners available and are not using HashAltcoin’s hosting services! Nevertheless you might still make some profit or bet longer term on HNS mining with GPUs or buying or selling Handshake hashrate until June when we are expecting to see the Hummer Miner Mars H1 Handshake (HNS) ASIC miners starting to join the network and significantly outperforming any existing GPU or FPGA mining option at the moment. HNS is already listed for trading on a few crypto exchanges such as Gateio, Citex and HotBit.

The Tellor (TRB) crypto project has officially entered into the FPGA domain with HashAltcoin just announcing the release of support for their Blackminer F1 FPGA line of miners. Prior to that you could mine Tellor with your GPUs using a miner like the latest NBMiner, though with a GTX 1080 Ti GPU doing just about 750 MH/s now it is becoming rather pointless with a single Blackminer F1+ FPGA doing about 10 times that.

HashAltcoin Blackminer F1 FPGAs Expected TRB Hashrate:
– Blackminer F1 Hashrate: 4.7 GH/s
– Blackminer F1+ Hashrate: 7.05 GH/s
– Blackminer F1u Hashrate: 9.4 GH/s

According to Hash Altcoin’s profitability calculator the newly released Tellor (TRB) mining support is not that profitable at the moment and certainly not the most profitable to mine unless you have a Blackminer F1 Ultra miner. For the other two older products it is in the top 3, so if you you have any of these FPGAs miners physically or hosted you should keep an eye on the new Tellor (TRB) support and its profitability as it may grow or not with FPGAs replacing the GPU miners.
