T-Rex 0.5.1 Nvidia GPU Miner For Windows and Linux

Lately we are seeing a number of new miners for GPUs that are not based on an already existing source code and are closed source releases with a small built-in developer fee. The T-Rex miner is one of those new miners and it is an interesting option for Nvidia GPU owners that are looking for profitable new coins based on less popular mining algorithms. The latest version T-Rex 0.5.1 does come with a binaries for both Windows and Linux and supports the following algorithms: lyra2z, phi2, hsr, c11, x17, phi and tribus offering good performance. The miner is intended for newer Nvidia GPUs such as Maxwell and the newest Pascal architectures, so it will not work on old Nvidia GPUs. There is 1% development fee built-in and you need to have a recent video driver installed as the binaries for both Linux and Windows are compiled for CUDA 9.1/9.2.

Hive OS – A New Linux GPU Mining Platform Gaining Popularity

There are a number of Linux-based mining distributions available out there, but most of them do have some limitation or a drawback or maybe are not very user friendly for non-advanced users. Hive OS is a relatively new Linux based mining platform that is trying to change that and offer a single package for all your GPU and even Bitmain ASIC miners for easy deployment, monitoring and control. The installation of the OS on any AMD or Nvidia GPU mining rig is quick and easy and then you take control from the cloud via a convenient web-based user interface, so no need to remotely login to each system and manage it or monitor it this way. It is a full featured operating system intended for mining, unlike the Hive OS clients for ASICs or for Windows that do need the host operating system already installed and work on top of it.
