150 GHS TechnoBit Dice Desktop USB Miner / Blockchain Lottery Device

The maker of ASIC Bitcoin miners TechnoBit, using various ASIC chips as a source for their miners, has announced a new interesting product based on Spondoolies Tech’s RockerBox ASIC. The device is designed to be small both in size and in terms of hashrate, but also to be quiet and power efficient. It is targeted at home miners that are mining just as a hobby as it will not be mining a lot of coins at the current Bitcoin network difficulty, but the good price of the miner makes it affordable and easy to acquire to also play out with ASIC miner if you haven’t done so yet. The Dice is delivered with set of Windows/Linux software (cgminer-based) that should allow the use of the device in two different ways – either as an entry level Bitcoin mining device to work with a mining pool or as a personal Bitcoin lottery device with a custom software and do solo mining testing your luck – every 10 minutes, you have a chance of 150/300,000,000 to get 25 BTCs.

You can say that the TechnoBit Dice can be a better alternative to BitMain’s U3 ASIC miner. The Dice is more power efficient and provides higher hashrate and you can buy it in the form of a single unit, unlike BitMain who had a minimum order quantity of 20 units while the miner was available for sale on their website. TechnoBit’s Dice will start shipping on December 18th and you can currently pre-order a single unit with a price of 78 EURO with additional 8% discount if you order 10 units, though it is not a very wise idea to go for 10 or more of these for personal use. If you want to have the same power efficiency and higher hashrate you might want to take a look at the bigger Spondoolies Tech ASIC miners that use more than just one RockerBox ASIC chips.

The 1.7 THS Spondoolies Tech SP20 Jackson Bitcoin Miner With Lower Price

The Bitcoin ASIC manufacturer Spondoolies Tech is targeting the home miners with the new price of their 1.7 THS SP20 Jackson Bitcoin ASIC miner that is now available for a price of $795 USD with the November Batch 1 of the miner starting to ship on November 18th. The SP20 Jackson SHA-256 ASIC miner consists of 8 28nm Spondoolies-Tech RockerBox ASICs, comes with a dedicated Linux-based controller box that uses an Ethernet port for connecting the miner to your network. The miner does not come with a built-in power supply, you will need to add an external one that will be connected to the ASIC via 4 6-pin PCI-E connectors and it would need a minimum 1200W high quality PSU (1152 Watts actual power used according to the manufacturer). The one thing that is not very clear about the SP20 ASIC miner is what is he level of noise the cooling of the device produces (hopefully less than 60 Decibels), as in order to be suitable for home mining it should not be as loud as a server. Spondoolies Tech is probably not a know name for some of you as the company specializes in miners that are mostly used by larger mining operations and is also the supplier of some big cloud mining operations such as Genesis Mining for example. We suspect that the noise level at the listed power specification will not be very low, so do have in mind if you are interested in getting one of these to mine at home with.

Rockminer Bitcoin ASIC Miners Now Available from MinerEU

MinerEU is now offering to its customers from Europe some of the Rockminer SHA-256 ASIC miners available at attractive prices and shipped from UK, so no extra taxes need to be paid. The small 100-110 GHS Rockminer RBOX miners are available for $145 USD new, the 480-510 GHS Rockminer R4 used are available for $190 USD and used Rockminer T1’s with 780-840 GHS are being sold for $330 USD. The prices are good for the Rockminer ASICs, however do note that they do not come with a PSU and with a power usage of about 1W per GHS they are already not so adequate for long term mining, unless of course you do not pay the electricity bill. With their hashrate the Rockminer ASICs could be more interesting for people that want to get one for playing with it, not with the idea to use it for mining for profit.
