Back in 2010 when Bitcoin was still very new and easy to be mined a guy called Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer from USA and an early Bitcoin adopter, spent 10000 BTC for two pizzas and this is believed to be the first real-world transaction using Bitcons for payment. Laszlo posted his request on the BitcoinTalk forum on May 18th, 2010 and on May 22nd he reported that he has successfully spent 10000 BTC for pizza provided by a user called jercos. So five years ago 10000 BTC could get you two pizzas and now you can get the same with just a small fraction of 1 Bitcoin and 10000 BTC at the moment equal about 2,380,000 USD. This is the actual origin of the Bitcoin Pizza Day, so happy celebrations today exactly 5 years layer…
