The latest SRBMiner-MULTI CPU and AMD GPU Miner version 0.1.7 brings support for the m7mv2 algorithm (CPU only) used by Magi Coin (XMG) along with some improvements such as better CPU auto configuration compared to earlier releases that had some issues using optimally all cores. We haven’t been following XMGM for quite some time now, but it is good that the project still continues and is developing, including forking to new algorithms such as the m7mv2. With the previous release SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.6 the miner became a viable alternative to XMRig regarding RandomX support, so this is probably going to be generating a lot of interest as we get closer to the end of the month and the XMR fork to this new algorithm.

SRBMiner-MULTI CPU & AMD GPU Miner 0.1.7 beta changelog:
– Added ‘m7mv2’ algorithm (Magi coin – XMG)
– Cpu auto configuration should be better than on previous versions
– Added CPU data to API, also rearranged a few things in API
– Console window ‘Quick Edit’ mode disabled on miner start, so users won’t accidentally pause miner by clicking in the console window

The latest NBMiner 26.1 update comes with a bit of improvement in the performance for mining CKB on Nvidia GPUs as well as support for Dual Mining ETH + CKB on AMD GPUs (dual mining was already available for Nvidia users). This update is just in time for the official launch for the Nervos CKB mainnet launch planned for tomorrow that uses the Eaglesong mining algorithm. Aside from NBMiner, you can also use GMiner and SRBMiner-MULTI for the Eaglesong algorithm, though with the latest update NBMiner should be slightly faster on Nvidia than GMiner.

We remind you that the NBMiner is a closed source GPU miner for Nvidia CUDA and now AMD as well that is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and it has the following developer fee built-in: tensority_ethash 3%, tensority (Pascal) 2%, tensority (Turing) 3%, ethash 0.65%, cuckaroo & cuckatoo & cuckaroo_swap 2%, progpow_sero 2%, sipc 2%, bfc 3%.

The latest SRBMiner-MULTI CPU and AMD GPU Miner version 0.1.6 brings some improvement in CPU mining performance thanks to better utilization of processor threads, though it seems that further optimizations might be needed. In a quick test with RandomX-based algorithms we are seeing an improvement in hashrate compared to the previous SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.5 that has introduced RandomX support, but full thread utilization may still not at 100% for all processors and performance is a bit lower when compared with XMRig on the same mining hardware, still it is good to see that efforts are being made for further improvements.

SRBMiner-MULTI CPU & AMD GPU Miner 0.1.6 beta changelog:
– Fixed threads binding on systems with more than 1 numa node
– Better auto configuration for cpu mining
– Previous two fixes should bring higher hashrates
– Added pool controlled algorithm switching capability (Monero Ocean)
– Added pool config parameter “algo_min_time” and --algo-min-time to cli (Monero Ocean)
– Added pool config parameter “keepalive” and --keepalive to cli

Update: There has been an update that fixes issues for SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.6 that corrects the less than 100% load on all cores/threads of the processor, so now the performance is even better and should be pretty much the same as what XMRig currently offers on the same mining hardware as far as RandomX and its variants are concerned, so just redownload version 0.1.6 if you downloaded the initial release.
