It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
The latest GMiner 1.74 miner has introduced significant performance improvements for Cuckatoo31 algorithm used by GRIN according to the mining software’s developer. We are seeing some improvement on GTX 1080 Ti and with Cuckatoo31 for GRIN and on NiceHash currently performing well compared to everything else in terms of profitability for GPU mining it might be worth giving the new miner a go. Below you can find some official performance results from GMiner’s developer on different Nvidia GPUs using the latest version 1.74, so that you can compare with your own hardware. Do note that this update does not yet include dual mining CKB+ETH, still only Eaglesong mining alone is possible.
Cuckatoo31 performance on stock GPU settings:
– Palit GTX 1070 Dual 8GB ~0.86 G/s
– MSI GTX 1080 SEA HAWK EK X 8GB ~0.96 G/s
– Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti AORUS Waterforce WB Xtreme Edition 11GB ~1.64 G/s
– MSI RTX 2070 Armor 8GB ~1.33 G/s
The GMiner miner software was originally only an Nvidia GPU miner, although some algorithms are already supported on AMD GPUs as well. Do note that GMiner is a closed source miner for Nvidia and AMD GPUs with binaries available for both Windows and Linux, there is a 2% developer fee built-in the software.

The latest GMiner 1.71 miner has added support for the Ethash algorithm on Nvidia GPUs allowing you to use the miner for mining ETH and ETC for the moment with other coins to be supported in the future. The developer fee of the Ethash algorithm is set at 0.65% instead of the regular 2 percent for other algorithms supported by the miner. Do note that if you are using an Nvidia GPU with GDDR5X video memory such as the GTX 1080 series you should also run the OhGodAnETHlargementPill tool for optimal performance when mining Ethash using GMiner. A quick test has shown that the performance on GTX 1080 Ti with the Pill software running is a little lower than what the latest Claymore Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 is capable of delivering, so there might be some more room for improvement in future updates.
The GMiner miner requires an Nvidia GPU with CUDA compute capability 5.0 or later as well as CUDA 9.0 driver support, some algorithms are already supported on AMD GPUs as well, but not all. Do note that GMiner is a closed source miner for Nvidia and AMD GPUs with binaries available for both Windows and Linux, also there is a 2% developer fee built-in the software.

A post on reddit has bee published today that introduces Classic Ethereum (CETH) – another Ethereum (ETH) for that is apparently in the making at the moment. Just like Ethereum Classic (ETC) the new Classic Ethereum (CETH) fork will follow the original Ethereum blockchain until the controversial block 1920000 where it will fork with a small signature change to make replay attacks impossible. We are going to see how this will affect things and if it may make them even worse than they are at the moment or instead will help. The current Ethereum situation where ETC is causing more issues than helping driven by the greed for making money from “free coins” and hurting different members of the crypto ecosystem with the use and misuse of replay attacks. We are going to be following the development of the situation with new fork Classic Ethereum (CETH)…
