New update to version 0.6.4 for the T-rex Nvidia GPU miner that brings support for a new algorithm – hmq1725, as well as significant improvements to already supported algorithms. With the new T-Rex 0.6.4 you can expect to get abut 5-15% performance increase in x16r/s, x17, sonoa, c11, bitcore and renesis, depending on the GPUs in your mining rig. So definitely worth updating to the latest version if you are using the miner to mine any of the supported crypto coins on your Nvidia-based mining rigs. Do note however that the T-Rex is a closed source miner with 1% development fee built-in. Also make sure you have a recent video driver installed as the binaries for both Linux and Windows are compiled for CUDA 9.1/9.2.

Another update from the T-rex miner with the latest version 0.6.3 bringing support for some more new mining algorithms as well as performance improvements for a number of already supported ones. The new algorithms that got added in the latest version are Balloon, Polytimos and Skunk. The biggest performance improvement of 3-5% in terms of performance goes for Renesis and PHI, while Bitcore, C11, Sonoa, X16r/s and X17 are also getting a few percent extra hashrate. If you are mining an altcoin with any of the newly added algorithms or already using the T-Rex miner for any of the alread supported ones you will probably want to go to the latest version. Do have in mind that T-Rex is a closed source miner and that there is 1% development fee built-in and you need to have a recent video driver installed as the binaries for both Linux and Windows are compiled for CUDA 9.1/9.2.

The T-Rex miner is slowly becoming a more popular solution for mining new coins thanks to the number of supported algorithms and the good performance and usability it offers. The latest version 0.6.1 adds two more new algorithms – Bitcore and Sonoa as well as some slight improvements to performance in all algorithms except Lyra2z. There is also added extra shares submit functionality to reduce the number of rejects on pool side (both resulting in increased poolside hashrate) along with a number of fixes and new features to further improve the software. If you are using it already to mine an algorithm that T-rex 0.6.1 supports you should give it a try. Our usual reminder that T-Rex is a closed source miner and that there is 1% development fee built-in and you need to have a recent video driver installed as the binaries for both Linux and Windows are compiled for CUDA 9.1/9.2.
