cgminer-3-7-2-gridseed-25mhz-frequency

We have compiled a windows binary of the latest cgminer 3.7.2 for Gridseed 5-chip GC3355 ASICs (source) that allows you to have finer control over the overclock frequencies you select. Previously you had to increase frequencies in steps of 50 MHz, with this version however you are able to use smaller steps of 25 MHz. So instead of having to go from 850 MHz to 900 MHz, now you can also try running at 875 MHz. This may allows you to squeeze a few more KHS out of your ASIC device when overclocking it to the maximum stable frequency with low or no HW errors at all.

You can download cgminer 3.7.2 OC for Gridseed 5-chip GC3355 ASICs on Windows OS here…

Does this version fix the hot-plugging issue? It’s such a pain in the ass to have to powercycle the USB hubs everytime I need to restart CGMiner for some reason. Makes remote restarting impossible.

do you still have to overwrite the usb drivers?

cgminer needs the drivers to be replaced with WinUSB to find the miners…

You can try with bfgminer it does work with the standard driver directly.

I made the modifications and am able to get 420k without HW errors, but interestingly the amount of accepts I usually get has dropped down. also getting windows to see the gridseed (modded and stock) on my usb 3.0 hub is very hard…it either says it cant load the driver or unknown device…but if I plug them into my usb 2 or the usb3 on the mobo it can find them better…
