Innosilicon A9 ZMaster 50 Ksol/s Equihash ASIC Miner

Innosilicon has just announced their A9 ZMaster ASIC miner for the Equihash algorithm used by Zcash (ZEC) and other coins that is apparently capable of 50000 Sol/s with just 620W of power usage. This significantly outperforms the already announced Bitmain Antminer Z9 mini that should be offering 10 Ksol/s with 300W of power usage, but what makes us frown here is the price that Innosilicon wants to charge you for this device. The Innosilicon A9 ZMaster should cost $9999 USD with a PSU included even though the miner is apparently already available in limited quantity of 300 units with shipping scheduled to start on June 10th.
The A9 ZMaster is pretty expensive at least for batch 1, but apparently Innosilicon wants to beat Bitmain in releasing first a more powerful product, even in limited quantities and charging a pretty expensive price for the device. The second batch shipments are planned to start on August 15th, but by then the price should be significantly lower, especially considering that even Bitmain has already announced lower prices for its upcoming batches of the Z9 mini devices. Meanwhile we are probably soon going to see more ASIC manufacturers coming out with Equihash-based devices and this should further drive down prices, especially if there isn’t that much of a demand for the hardware with the current market conditions. The only problem with ASIC manufacturers trying to fuck up each other is that in the end the one often getting fucked up is usually the miner that buys one or the other of the devices…

Wow, good one. Performance (50000 Sol/s) is really amazing considering the power it uses. Cryptocurrency market being bigger day by day. I won’t surprise if I see cryptocurrency become the main currency of worldwide. Because of it’s fixed amount, mining being hard day by day. For investors, it’s really a good choice to invest in cryptocurrency. Thanks for sharing, good job :)

DO NOT trust this company. They conned me for 20K EUR and delivered miners with a hardware defect. When I sent them the hashboards for warranty replacement, their customs supposedly are sending back the boards. Their communication a catastrophy. They didn’t even offer the warranty they promoted to fix their products. For months I had to complain. And now still ended in a mess and total loss of 20K. Extremely shady business practices! Investing in this company’s products is like throwing your money out of the window….check the Innosilicon DashMaster A5 bitcointalk thread and you’ll find proof…

I can attest to innosilicon (and most hardware companies’ customer support except avalon) being really shitty. dont know about bitmain bcause i’ve never bought from them

I am very sorry for Innosilicon but you better stay away from this company. They are very irresponsible. Let me share to you my expereince, I buy 4 D9 decred master and 1 breaks down. They decided to repair the unit, and I am happy for that, when they send it back, they did not ask me but misdeclared the value and then I get a USD700 for penalty and they want me to pay for their mistake, I did ask them to pay for it but their greediness did not pay for their mistake. I bought it in expensive price but they are irresponsible. You will lose money with them. Better choose other miner. I dont want you to lose money with them. Very Good Product Very Bad Company.

Bteer choose other miner than Innosilicon, You may regret it the way I did. I promise myself not to buy innosilicon product no matter how good their product was. I dont want you to suffer my experience. Very very irresponsible company. They will even blame you for their mistake. It will break your heart. Dont feed this greed company.
