NiceHash and Excavator Now With Support for the X16R Algorithm

The X16R crypto algorithm introduced by RavenCoin (RVN) is getting more widely supported now that NiceHash has added support for users to sell and purchase X16R mining hashrate. Along with the support on the website for X16R the Excavator Nvidia GPU miner software developed by the service and also a part of their NiceHash Miner software also got support for the X16R algorithm. Apart for the new support of the X16R crypto algorithm, the Excavator miner also supports the following algorithms on more recent Nvidia GPUs: equihash, pascal, decred, sia, lbry, blake2s, daggerhashimoto, lyra2rev2, keccak, neoscrypt, cryptonightV7 and lyra2z as well as three dual mining modes: daggerhashimoto_decred, daggerhashimoto_sia and daggerhashimoto_pascal. Excavator Miner 1.2.10a With Performance Improvements

We just gave a try of the latest NiceHash Excavator 1.2.10 alpha miner (source) that includes new algorithms and some performance improvements from NiceHash. It has been a while since we have played with it last, so there are some changes that we wanted to try out. Excavator supports both AMD and Nvidia GPUs and works with some of the more popular mining algorithms, though performance wise it may not be the fastest on all of them.

Nvidia CUDA supported algorithms: equihash, pascal, decred, sia, lbry, blake2s, daggerhashimoto
AMD OpenCL supported algorithms: daggerhashimoto, equihash, pascal, sia, decred

More notable is the performance improvement from the latest ethminer for Nvidia GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 GPUs that has also apparently been implemented in Excavator, so you might want to try that as well and see what results you are going to get if you are mining coins using the (Ethash) Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm such as Ethereum and others. Below you can find a 64-bit Windows binary that you can download and try will all of the supported algorithms, just modify the sample config files provided. Do note that Nvidia supports two more algorithms that have not yet been implemented on AMD GPUs!

NiceHash has Released 100% LHR Unlock for ETH Mining on Nvidia GPUs

The latest NiceHash QuickMiner (Excavator) is the first mining software to fully unlock Nvidia’s LHR video cards for mining Ethereum (ETH). Do note that currenly all Nvidia RTX 30 series GPUs with v1 and v2 LHR should be supported and being unlocked to full hjashrate when mining Ethereum, but LHR v3 GPUs, namely RTX 3050 and RTX 3080 12GB are still not supported by the unlock. You need to download and use the QuickMiner v0.5.4.0 RC (release candidate) or newer in order to be able to take advantage of the full LHR unlock. NiceHash reccomends to use either 472.xx or the latest NVIDIA GPU drivers along with the miner for best results, older video drivers might cause issues with the unlock or proper functioning of the miner. Also have in mind that NiceHash QuickMiner only works on Windows and you can only use it on the NiceHash mining platform!
