It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
The NiceHash platform for leasing and renting crypto hashrate has announced the addition of a new crypto algorithm to their list of supported algorithms – the Zhash algorithm or Equihash with parameter set 144,5. This algorithm is currently used as a PoW algorithm with Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Anon (ANON) and BitcoinZ (BTCZ) and other projects. The Zhash algorithm works by increasing the hardware requirements of Equihash to make the development of an ASIC appliance less viable and to put back GPU mining in control for the projects using this algorithm. Aside from support for Zhash on the marketplace for hashrate, mining Zhash is also supported through the latest NiceHash Miner Legacy (1.9.0.8) as well as third party miners of course.
Another popular service for renting and leasing mining rigs Mining Rig Rentals (MRR) has been offering Zhash (Equihash 144,5) for quite some time, though the market there is usually smaller compared to what NiceHash is capable of providing in terms of hashrate. Apart from Zhash this service also offers support for Equihash 96,5 as well as Equihash 192,7 and Equihash 210,9 so if you need any of these you can check the MRR service as well.
StableCoinsWar is an interesting new service that lists the most important data for a number of stablecoins such as their current price, market capitalization, market cap percentage, volume and velocity of money. A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency designed to minimize the price volatility, stablecoins are used as stores of value and are usually backed by fiat currency such as USD, EUR or other. You can get up to date and speed with a quick glance on the single page stats currently listing 8 of the most popular and used stablecoins with their top stats. Of course the top spot is held by Terher (USDT) as still the major stablecoin that is widely used, but it is slowly loosing positions to the number of newcomers. So if you use stable coins and want to be able to easily keep track on their performance, then do take a look at this useful service.

Monero’s planned upcoming hardfork to the new CryptoNight/CryptoNote V8 proof of work algorithm is going well and will just about a day left and miners already supporting the V8 algorithm people are getting ready to mine XMR. Even services such as MiningRigRentals where you can rent or lease mining rigs are already supporting the new V8 algorithm with rigs available. NiceHash however has also added support for V8, including support for their latest NiceHash Miner, so you can expect quite a lot of hashrate after the fork coming from the service.
The SUQA project that we recently introduced is continuing to gain more interest from users and its X22i algorithm has just been added to MRR. The good news for miners is that X22i is still too new and not big enough to catch the interest of NiceHash, though if things continue this way it will happen sooner or later. Anyway, SUQA is developing nicely with network hashrate growing as more users join the mining process and the project is progressing well on their announced roadmap, even though there is still some skepticism surrounding the 10% developer fee from each mined block.
