ccminer-1-5-44-git-spmod

If you are wondering what to currently mine with your Nvidia-based GPUs such as Nvidia GTX 750 Ti or GTX 980 for example, then you might want to check Quark and Qubit as algorithms they seem to be quite profitable to mine on Nvidia. If you do make sure you have the latest version of ccMiner and we have just compiled a Windows binary from the latest source code of ccMiner 1.5.44-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for the latest Maxwell-based video cards by SP (source). The latest version comes with some fixes and performance improvements in the Quark and Qubit algorithms, though the performance increase of Qubit is apparently better than the increase of hashrate in Quark.

The SP-MOD fork is designed for running on Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750, 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 960, GTX 970 and GTX 980. The windows binary release we have made available here is compiled with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013. We have done some quick tests comparing the latest update with improved Quark and Qubit performance to the previous .43 release on GTX 750 Ti and GTX 980 and below you can see the results to get an idea on what yu can expect in terms of performance increase:

GTX 750 Ti
– Quark .43 – 5395 KHS
– Quark .44 – 5420 KHS
– Qubit .43 – 4319 KHS
– Qubit .44 – 4440 KHS

GTX 980
– Quark .43 – 15338 KHS
– Quark .44 – 15558 KHS
– Qubit .43 – 13771 KHS
– Qubit .44 – 14115 KHS

miner-control-tool-gtx-750-ti

We have made a minor update to our Miner Control tool package for Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti GPUs to reflect some of the recent changes in the pools that the tool uses. This version does not include X14 support for YAAMP as apparently it has been removed, it also includes support for the Qubit algorithm that has been included at NiceHash and WestHash and it seems to be the most profitable algorithm to mine at the moment at the two services according to their statistics. The Qubit and Quark algorithms often seem to be the most profitable ones to be mined on Nvidia GPUs, though there are temporary surges in other algorithms that make them more profitable for a while such as launches of new altcoins.

To be ready to use the GeForce GTX 750 Ti package you just need to update the account settings for each pool to reflect your BTC payment address. Do note that the default configuration that we have set is mining from time to time for the author of the software (Miner Control) as a donation alternative, but you can change that setting should you wish to. The package is ready to be used with GTX 750 Ti card, but you can also us it for other Nvidia GPUs or more cards (the ccMiner fork included is for Computer 5.0 and 5.2 cards only) – what you may need to reflect however in the config file is the total hashrate and power usage.

sgminer-5-1-1-latest-whirlpoolx

We have compiled a new Windows binary from of sgminer version 5.1.1 from the latestsource as it includes some fixes and optimizations since our last binary release. The latest sgminer 5.1.1 should also have better performing WhirlpoolX implementation thanks to Wolf0’s kernel getting integrated. The idea of the official sgminer is that it combines almost all of the available algorithms in a single miner package and that is what makes it useful for GPU miners along with a functionality that should allow you to easily switch between them. Do not that the performance of all of the various kernels included in the official sgminer may not be as optimized as in some dedicated releases for a specific crypto algorithm out there.
