Innosilicon Terminator 2 (T2) Miner is a new SHA256 ASIC miner for mining Bitcoin (BTC) and other crypto currencies using the same algorithm that uses 10nm production process for the computing chips inside the device. It is not the first ASIC miner to use 10nm process, but it seems that is the next step for achieving higher performance without the need for a lot more power. The Innosilicon Terminator 2 ASIC miner should be capable of delivering 17.2 THS at about 1570W of power usage according to the official specifications of the device.

There is no information about pricing and the official website of the company has not yet started accepting orders for the newly announced device. Halong Mining have recently also announced their DragonMint T2 ASIC miner (still not on sale) that delivers 17 THS at similar power usage and is also based on 10nm (this is also the company that was apparently first with 10nm ASIC miner). We are yet to see a new generation of Bitcoin miners using 10nm production process from other larger ASIC manufacturers such as Bitmain and Canaan, but we can surely expect them to join the fun soon too…

Wirex has been busy relaunching their crypto powered payment cards service and after the recent availability of virtual cards the company has also started rolling our plastic cards again starting with UK, though other countries should follow shortly. Last month Litecoin (LTC) support was added with more crypto currencies apparently to follow soon apparently. What is more interesting is one new feature that has been just announced called Cryptoback, essentially a reward scheme that gives you back 0.5% of each in-store purchase as crypto. This means that you will earn 0.5% of all in-store purchases you make using the Wirex payment card, redeemable in Bitcoin and with no monthly cap.

We cannot wait to get our new plastic debit cards from Wirex. We have been using the company’s crypto cards even before rebranding to Wirex, since they were still called E-Coin, and are really happy to see that they are getting back into the game after the WaveCrest issue from the begging of this year that has created problems for a lot of companies offering similar crypto-powered products. Do you thing that the next logical step is for crypto banks to start appearing…

Fore more information about the Wirex cryptopowered debit cards and the Cryptoback feature…

The z-enemy miner was originally only X16R Nvidia GPU miner, then X16S support was added, but it seems that the future development will not only focus on those two algorithms alone as with each new version we are seeing not only performance improvements and bug fixes, but also new algorithms getting supported. The latest version 1.09 adds support for Xevan and Vitality in the a release as well as Tribus in the more recent b update along with up to about 10% performance increase due to optimizations. There are also some bug fixes and performance improvements that are targeted at improving stability and usability of the miner, do note that since z-enemy-1.09a release the miner also has support for failover pools (just add multiple instances of pool, user and password in the command line). The more recent z-enemy-1.09b release is more of a service release and is currently only available for Windows, while z-enemy-1.09a is also available in the form of Linux binaries.

We prefer to use the z-enemy miner for mining RavenCoin (RVN) even though there are many alternatives already available out there, though the miner will apparently evolve in a more usable and functional alternative to other more established miners out there as it adds support for more algorithms. We remind you that z-enemy is a closed source miner available only as a binary release and it contains a 1% developer fee built-in to support further software development. On a side note is seems that we now also have SP back in the game with open source miners with his optimized suprminer fork for X16R and X16S, so you might want to give it a go as well, though it does not seem to be faster than the latest z-enemy miner.

To download and try the latest z-enemy-1.0.9b miner binary release for Windows (CUDA 9.1)…
