It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
Time for a new windows binary compiled from the latest code of the ccMiner 1.5.31-git SP-MOD fork of the Nvidia GPU miner optimized for Maxwell GPUs by SP (source). This version includes fixes as well as some performance improvements in various algorithms since the last binary we have compiled a few days ago. The latest version also gets ccMiner ready for the upcoming Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 GPU that is expected to be available very soon. Other than that this version from SP is designed for running on Nvidia Maxwell GPUs such as the already available GTX 750 and 750 Ti as well as the newer GTX 970 and 980. The windows binary release we have made available here is compiled with support for Compute 5.0 and Compute 5.2 GPUs or with other words only for Maxwell-based cards with CUDA 6.5 and VS2013.

There is a new ccMiner fork for Nvidia GPUs that brings support for the Blakecoin (Blake-256) as well as other new algorithms and crypto coins supported in ccMiner. The new fork by user tpruvot on Github (source) supports not only the standard crypto currencies available in the official ccMiner but also BlakeCoin (256 8-rounds), NEOS blake (256 14-rounds), X14, X15, X17, WHIRL etc. The miner also adds some color options to make the output easily readable, instead of outputting everything as white text on black background. The precompiled Windows binary seems to work pretty well, though we’ve had some trouble using it on a system with two GPUs, but specifying a device option for each and running separately on GTX 780 Ti and GTX 750 Ti had no problems.
Do note that the source of this ccMiner fork is made to be compiled with CUDA 6.5 and Visual Studio 2013, though it can also be compiled on Linux, the binary releases available for Windows will also require you to have the most recent version of the Nvidia GPU driver in order to use them. You will need to download and install the latest GeForce 340.72 driver that brings support for CUDA 6.5 (if you are using older driver version), otherwise the miner may not function. The official binary release of the miner does come precompiled for Compute 3.0 and Compute 5.0, so it will not work on older video cards.

The ccMiner software miner for Nvidia GPUs has received another update of the source code with improved performance for X11 algorithm mining, so you should be getting higher hashrate when mining crypto currencies such as DarkCoin. We have compiled a binary for Windows that you can find below and try on your Nvidia GPU. The performance that the current optimized code for X11 offers on our test GeForce GTX 780 Ti GPU is almost 4.7 MHS (non overclocked) and with the previous 1.0 release of ccminer we were getting hashrate of about 2.8 MHS when mining DarkCoin. On a GTX 750 Ti you are probably going to get pretty much the same performance that a Radeon R9 280X currently has for X11 mining or about 2 MHS or slightly more. So now Nvidia clearly has the advantage in X11 mining in terms of performance over AMD.
Do note that the windows binary you can download below is compiled for Compute 3.0, 3.5 and 5.0 cards (32-bit version only), so it will not work on older cards. It is also compiled with Visual Studio 2012, so if you do not already have Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 you will have to download and install it, otherwise you may be getting error for a missing DLL library.
