It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
There have been quite a few new mining pools for Ethereum mining appearing in the last few weeks since we have last updated our list of Ether (ETH) mining pools, so now it is time to refresh things a bit. As you will probably notice many of the new pools are based on the Open Ethereum Mining Pool by sammy007 with some of them retaining the base design and functionality and others further improving things. Below is a list of the new pools for mining Ethereum and after that you will see a list of the older ones that have been available for longer and are more established and well known and we have already covered here…

The cpuminer-opt is an optimized CPU miner (source) forked from cpuminer-multi, but with added optimizations for many algorithms for use with the more recent CPUs supporting the AES-NI instruction set, though the miner also works on older SSE2 capable CPUs with lower performance. Up until recently the cpuminer-opt was available only for Linux users, but starting from version 3.3 there is also Windows support and we have compiled 64-bit binaries of the miner for Windows for the latest released version 3.3.5. Joblo, the person behind the project, has been quite active with the development lately fixing some issues with AES-NI support and we have been compiling all the new updates, so we have decided to post the latest one for everyone that is mining HODL, ESP, XRE or another recent altcoin with a new algorithm.
In the archive below you can find multiple executable files that are compiled for different CPU architectures that support AES-NI instructions, so you are welcome to try them and if your processor does not have support AES-NI, then you might want to use the cpuminer-sse2.exe binary. The default cpuminer.exe is compiled for Intel Westmere, the first Intel architecture that has support for the AES-NI instruction set and cpuminer-amd.exe is bdver1 which should work on all AMD processors with AES-NI support. If you have a more recent Intel Sandybridge, Ivybridge, Haswell or Broadwell-based processor you can try the respective binary to see if that will squeeze some extra performance, or you can compile directly on your PC with the native instruction set supported by your CPU.

The DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization, is an interesting project in the form of an Ethereum smart contract that is essentially a form of investor-directed venture capital fund. The project was started with what can be described as the largest crowdfunding campaign to date where over twenty thousand people invested over 12 million Ether coins and now have the right to control the direction of the DAO. These are essentially the investors that now have the right to vote thanks to their DAO tokens for what projects the DAO will provide funds in the form of Ethereum. The total number of DAO Tokens is over 1 Billion and 172 Million and now that the initial crowdfunding period is over no more tokens will be issued, however if you missed your first chance to get into the DAO you can still do so by purchasing tokens from one of the crypto currency exchanges that offers the trading of DAO tokens. Even though the DAO crowdfunding campaign has collected over 160 Million USD equivalent in ETH coins and can be considered a very successful venture there is still a lot of controversy surrounding the whole concept and the idea, buy still worth keeping an eye on the development anyway. So should you decide to invest in the DAO by purchasing DAO Tokens you should do your more detailed research before jumping head to invest, but if you decide to buy tokens you can find a list of exchanges where you can do so below.
List of crypto Exchanges trading DAO Tokens:
– Kraken (ETH, BTC, USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD)
– Shapeshift (BTC and many altcoins)
– BTER (BTC, CNY)
– Poloniex (BTC)
– Bittrex (BTC)
These are pretty much the top exchanges where trades are happening, there could be some more that just recently listed DAO Tokens for trading or will list them soon and we are going to be keeping track on further development…
