The latest SRBMiner-MULTI CPU and AMD GPU Miner version 0.2.0 has added support for another RandomX variant, namely the RandomV algorithm (MoneroV) as well as some additional tweaks, you can find the full changelog below. The previous release has also added support for the RandomSFX algorithm (SafexCash), so you can say that there is revival for CPU mining lately centered around RandomX, unfortunately that also has some negative side effects such as botnets mining. We’ll see how things go and for how long RandomX will remain in the CPU mining domain only with the growing interest around it and with many different variations becoming available as well.

SRBMiner-MULTI CPU & AMD GPU Miner 0.2.0 beta changelog:
– Added RandomV algorithm (MoneroV)
– Added –randomx-use-tweaks, to select the MSR tweak/s to apply
– Added RandomX tweak support for Intel Core2 processors

The latest SRBMiner-MULTI CPU and AMD GPU Miner version 0.1.8 brings support for a number of additional new algorithms (yespower variants) as well as pool mining for the Kadena algorithm (check the icemining pool) along ith some fixes. We have noticed that on Intel CPUs RandomX mining with all available threads does seem to make the system a bit unresponsive and lagging, something that was not the case with the previous version and that can cause some issues when trying to remote control the mining system for instance. Other than that the addition of new algorithms is always welcome, the full changelog of the latest release is available below.

SRBMiner-MULTI CPU & AMD GPU Miner 0.1.8 beta changelog:
– Added Kadena algorithm (pool mining only)
– Added yespoweric algorithm (IsotopeC)
– Added yespoweriots algorithm (IOTScoin)
– Added yespower2b AVX support
– Fixed nicehash protocol compatibility with rpc2
– Miner now won’t quit if not enough free RAM for an algorithm, it will just warn the user

Team Red Miner is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for lyra2rev3, lyra2z, phi2, CryptoNight v8 (CNv2) and CryptoNight R (CNv4), X16 variants, MTP, Cuckarood29 and Cuckatoo31 and now adding Ethash support as well in the latest 0.6 release. The miner is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems, a closed source software with 2.5% to 3% development fee built-in for all algos except Ethash, for Ethash on Polaris GPUs the dev fee is 0.75% and on all other GPUs is 1.0%.

A quick test of the Team Red Miner 0.6.0 for mining ETH (current DAG 299) on AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GPUs has shown hashrate very similar to what other Ethash miners are capable of delivering on the same hardware, so performance wise things seem to be very good. Of course why to switch from one Ethash miner that you might be already familiar with such as Claymore’s Dual Miner to another that has just introduced support… that is up to you to decide, though you should give it a try.
