The latest version 6.0 of the NebuTech BTMiner Nvidia GPU miner for mining Bytom (BTM) is available with some interesting and useful improvements along with a slight performance increase, so you might want to check it out and update if you are using an older version. Among the new features probably the most useful one for most people is the additional GPU status report giving you information about power usage, fan speed, core clock, core utilization. As far as performance improvements go, there is a slight bump in the hashrate with about 2-3% on some mining rigs (depending on the type of GPUs you have), we are seeing a bit of improvement on a GTX 1080 Ti mining rig.

NebuTech BTMiner 6.0 Changelog:
– Add API for status query.
– Add dummy web monitor.
– Add more GPU status report: power usage, core clock, core utilization
– Low-level parameter adjustment, improve 2-3% hashrate on some mining rigs.
– Runtime check for number of corresponding responses for submits.
– Improve console log format.

The NebuTech BTMiner is the first Nvidia GPU miner for Bytom (BTM) and although the early versions were a bit problematic it is pretty stable now. Last month Bminer 9.0.0 got BTM support and it was faster in terms of hashrate, but the latest version of BTMiner NebuTech v5.1 is the fastest once more leaving the Antminer B3 Bytom ASIC miners in the dust in terms of performance. The Antminer B3 ASIC miner currently probably does just about half the hashrate of a single GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU. Unfortunately while the hashrate of Bytom (BTM) is increasing the price of the coins seems to be going down slowly at the moment. Then there is also the problem with the fact that there are BTM tokens as well as BTM coins and this also creates some confusion among users where and how to trade the different crypto assets.

WE have already covered the Bminer mining software, though lately it wasn’t so interesting with only Equihash and then Ethash support, even the dual-mining option did not help much as there are already moving to the ASIC miner domain. The latest version 9.0.0 of Bminer however adds something new and interesting, we are talking about experimental Bytom (BTM) mining support for Nvidia GPUs and the performance is really good when things work. We are seeing significantly better results with the new Bminer 9.0.0 compared to the already available NebuTech BTMiner On Nvidia GPU Mining Rigs… we are talking 50% faster performance on GTX 1080 Ti. The drawback here however is that since it is still experimental it may not work on all mining pools, but if you are interested in BTM and are mining it, then you should give it a go and see what improvement you can get. We are reminding you that Bminer is a closed source miner available for Linux and Windows and it has a 2% developer fee built in for Bythom (BTM) mining.
