The latest version 1.8.4 of the CryptoNight AMD GPU miner SRBMiner brings significant performance boost for all of AMD’s HBM memory based GPUs, namely the Radeon Vega56, Vega 64, Vega FE and the latest Radeon VII with HBM2 video memory. The performance boost for these video cards can be up to about 15%, so definitely worth upgrading any mining rigs with the newly released miner for the extra hashrate you will be getting… and that apparently goes for all of the supported algorithms! To take advantage of the extra performance boost you need to play around with the new parameter tweak_profile checking the level of tweak profile that your GPUs can handle and applying it. Apparently the improvement is based on memory timings modification thanks to the work of Eliovp and his useful AMD Memory Tweak Tool.

You can find the full changelog for the latest release quoted below. Do note that the developer fee is ~0.85% for both normal mode and algorithm switching mode as SRBMiner is a closed source miner available for AMD GPU miners only under Windows.

SRBMiner V1.8.4 Full Cangelog:
– Performance increase for Vega56/64/Fe/Vii up to 15%!
– Minimum for ‘main_pool_reconnect’ is now 60 seconds instead of 180
– Added new cmd parameters: –disabletweaking, –cgputweakprofile
– Added new config parameter: tweak_profile
– Minor bug fixes

It has been a while since the last release CryptoDredge 0.17.0 was made available to Nvidia GPU miners, but here comes the new CryptoDredge 0.18.0 and it brings some new and useful features on the table. The new version brings support for the Argon2d algorithm (argon2d-dyn only) as well as the much anticipated support for MTP and Cuckaroo29 on NiceHash. Prior to that the only MTP miner with NiceHash support was TT-Miner and currently MTP is among the most profitable algorithms for Nvidia GPUs on the service. The new CryptoDredge v0.18.0 also makes API more compatible with ccminer API, adds support for mining Aeternity on GPUs with 2 GB of memory (Linux only) as well as introduces support for mining Cuckaroo29 on GPUs with 4 GB of memory (Linux only) and for windows users it indicates activity to suppress auto sleep mode.

Do note that the CryptoDredge miner supports only Nvidia GPUs and is a closed source software that comes with 1% built-in developer fee for all supported algorithms, however the dev fee is 2% currently only for MTP mining (Zcoin), there are binaries available for both Windows and Linux (CUDA 9.1/9.2/10.0).

The latest Nanominer 1.1.0 by Nanopool comes with support for the new CryptoNight R algorithm used after the recent Monero (XMR) fork, though for now it is only supported on Nvidia GPUs. Nanominer supports Ethash, CryptoNight (v6, v7, v8, R), Ubqhash on GPU and and RandomHash/PASC on CPU at the same time (dual mining mode), though only CryptoNight R and Ethash are supported on Nvidia GPUs, the rest of the algorithms are AMD only. Performance wise the Nanominer 1.1.0 is faster on GTX 1080 Ti according on our tests compared to what the latest XMR-Stak 2.10.0 is delivering and the difference is not small… about 80 hashes more with the Nanominer for about 840+ H/s mining CryptoNight R.

Nanominer is available for both Linux and Windows, it is a closed source miner that has a 1% developer fee for the GPU supported algorithms and 3% for RandomHash on CPU. The Nanominer miner does work on all pools for the supported algorithms and is not limited only to the mining pools provided by Nanopool, so you are not limited to use only their services.
