Team Red Miner 0.4.1 With Support for CryptoNight R (CNv4)

Team Red Miner is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for lyra2rev3, lyra2z, phi2, CryptoNight v8 (CNv2) and CryptoNight R (CNv4) available for both Windows and Linux operating systems. The miner is in beta and is constantly in development, it is a closed source miner with the following developer fees: Cryptonight v8 – 2.5%, Cryptonight R – 2.5%, Lyra2rev3 – 2.5%, Lyra2z – 3%, Phi2 – 3%. CryptoDredge 0.17.0 Nvidia Miner With A Number of New Algorithms Supported

The latest CryptoDredge Nvidia GPU miner version 0.17.0 comes with added support for a few new algorithms such as CryptoNightTurtle and CryptonightGPU as well as the Cuckaroo29 algorithm used by Grin and CuckooCycle algorithm for Aeternity. Since Grin is getting a lot of attention lately, we should let you know that CryptoDredge does not yet seem to support Cuckaroo29 on NiceHash and also that performance wise it is slower than others like Bminer and GMiner that are currently the top performing Grin miners on Nvdia GPUs. Aethernity performance using the CuckooCycle algorithm is also not the best compared to the other alternative solutions already available, so these two algos can use some optimizations.

Do note that the CryptoDredge miner supports only Nvidia GPUs and is a closed source software that comes with 1% built-in developer fee for all supported algorithms, however the dev fee is 2% currently only for MTP mining (Zcoin), there are binaries available for both Windows and Linux (CUDA 9.1/9.2/10.0).

NiceHash Now With Support for Grin and Lyra2REv3 (VTC)

After the recent addition of BEAM (Equihash 150,5) support on the service for selling and buying mining hashrate – NiceHash has become more active and has just added two (three) more new algorithms – CuckARoo29 and CuckAToo31 used by GRIN and Lyra2REv3 used by VTC. NiceHash support for GRIN on the software side is still somewhat lacking, with the latest GMiner 1.28 pretty much currently the only available miner for Grin (CuckARoo29) available for Nvidia GPUs under Windows, no AMD Grin miners with proper NiceHash support for now it seems. Lyra2REv3 on the other hand is more widely supported and available already on multiple software miners for both AMD and Nvidia as it was an anticipated fork for VTC, so developers had the time to get ready. An example for a compatible AMD miner is the latest WildRig Multi and for Nvidia you can try the latest official ccminer by tpruvot or the latest CryptoDredge which is faster in terms of performance compared to ccminer. Due to the interest and demand for Grin mining hashrate currently profitability wise it might be interesting for Nvidia miners to try selling their hashrate on NiceHash and get paid in BTC for it while waiting for the Grin ecosystem to get more developed and functional that it is at the moment.
