Miner Control, a New Auto Profit Switching Miner Controller Application

The successor of the NiceHash Control tool is now here and it is called Miner Control. The software from the same author, StuffOfInterest on Bitcointalk, is built on top of the basic profit switching algorithm use in NiceHash Control, but now comes with more pools supported. With Miner Control you are now able to switch between the most profitable pool among the following:NiceHash, TradeMyBit and YAAMP. There is also a manual configurations support for last resort backup pool also available, something that we have implemented in the form of a workaround for our mining packages that we have released for AMD and Nvidia that were using the NiceHash Control tool some time ago. We are soon going to be updating these packages to take advantage of the new features and functionality that the Miner Control offers, but meanwhile you can check out the new application and read about all of the new features and options it offers and also do your own configurations pairing it with a miner of your choice.

WestHash, the New US-based Smaller Brother of NiceHash

WestHash is crypto currency cloud mining service just like its big brother NiceHash. It offers users the same functionality to either sell their hashrate or buy hashrate for the supported algorithms such as Scrypt, SHA256, Scrypt-N, X11, X13, Keccak, X15 or Nist5 as NiceHash does. WestHash is a geographically separated system, running as a whole under global NiceHash master system (our review of NiceHash). WestHash does have an independent market, however accounting, payments and everything else is fully integrated into a single system. WestHash brings are more attractive opportunities for hashrate providers as well as for hashrate buyers, even though the market is located in US West is optimal for hashing power sellers and buyers located in US, Canada and other near regions. While NiceHash is located in Europe and is optimal for hashing power sellers and buyers located in Europe, Russia and other near regions. This does not mean that you cannot use both services, regardless of your location, in fact if you have already registered on NiceHash you can already use your existing account to buy hashing power on WestHash as well. Using the service does not require a banking teller training or expertise! The fact that the two websites have separate markets means that you might get good opportunities for either buying or selling hashrate at either of the two services, so you may have better opportunities to make something extra if you keep an eye on the prices in both places.

NiceHash Control Tool 1.1.1 Pack for GeForce GTX 750 Ti

We have updated our NiceHash Control tool package with ccMiner for use with GeForce GTX 750 Ti to the latest NiceHash Control version 1.1.1 that adds up some new useful features (it is possible to be used on other Nvidia-based GPUs with at least Compute 3.0 capabilities). The idea for this tool is to sell your hashrate at the NiceHash service making the highest possible profit by switching to the most profitable mining algorithm all the time. Our ready to use package supports the X11, X13, X15 and NIST5 algorithms as we consider that these are currently the most profitable ones as well as the ones that will use less power and generate less heat. The update introduces support for backup pools for each algorithm, so that when NiceHash is down you will move to the TradeMyBit pool as a backup (you need a registration there and to setup the backup pool’s user and password to your own).

What you need to do in order to use our GeForce GTX 750 Ti mining pack is to edit the config file and set your BTC address, edit the backup pool settings in the MINERS.bat file and then just start the AUTOSTART.BAT file to fire up the software. What is left is to monitor your earnings on the NiceHash website, and you can check the log.txt file for information what algorithm was switched to and when. This version of the package does provide a simple, but nicely working way for backup pool as the ccMiner software still does not have official failover pool support built-in. NHC Version 1.1.1 has introduced new way of killing the miner window, however we have been getting occasional errors for access denied using the new version and when this problem appears the software stops switching the algorithms and the last mining session continues. If you do encounter similar problem on either the Nvidia or AMD packs you might want to replace the executable with the previous version 1.1.0. We might revert the NHC version in the packs to it if we are not able to figure out what is causing the issue.
