It Is All About BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE, KAS mining as well as other alternative crypto currencies
There is a new miner on the block called BXB-Miner that supports many different variants of the CryptoNight algorithm intended for AMG GPU miners, though it also supports CPU mining, that comes with a graphical user interface (kind of) as you still need to the the setup in a config file. It is a closed source miner, available only for Windows for the moment, though surprisingly there is no developer fee as we are used to see with most non-opensource miners.
BXB-Miner works with:
– Cryptonight
– Cryptonight v7
– Cryptonight-Heavy (Bixbite, Sumocoin)
– New Stellite
– New Haven
– IPBC, Alloy
– Cryptonight Lite
– Cryptonight Lite v7
Performance wise the miner does seem to do pretty well compared to other alternatives, though do note that the BXB-Miner is still in early beta, so there is a more work needed to make it more user friendly. Still you might be interested in giving it a try.

WE have already covered the Bminer mining software, though lately it wasn’t so interesting with only Equihash and then Ethash support, even the dual-mining option did not help much as there are already moving to the ASIC miner domain. The latest version 9.0.0 of Bminer however adds something new and interesting, we are talking about experimental Bytom (BTM) mining support for Nvidia GPUs and the performance is really good when things work. We are seeing significantly better results with the new Bminer 9.0.0 compared to the already available NebuTech BTMiner On Nvidia GPU Mining Rigs… we are talking 50% faster performance on GTX 1080 Ti. The drawback here however is that since it is still experimental it may not work on all mining pools, but if you are interested in BTM and are mining it, then you should give it a go and see what improvement you can get. We are reminding you that Bminer is a closed source miner available for Linux and Windows and it has a 2% developer fee built in for Bythom (BTM) mining.

CryptoDredge is a new Nvidia GPU miner that we have recently talked about as it is offering one of the best Lyra2REv2 performance at the moment. It is a closed source miner that support the following algorithms: Allium, Lyra2REv2, Lyra2z, NeoScrypt and PHI1612 and requires Nvidia GPUs with Compute Capability 5.0 or newer (Maxwell or Pascal architecture). There is a 1% developer fee built-in, so make sure you are Ok with these before checking it out if you still haven’t and make sure to update if you are using the miner already, as it is quite interesting for people mining crypto coins using Lyra2REv2 and Lyra2z algorithms.
The latest version CryptoDredge 0.4.1 adds a bit more performance improvement for Lyra2REv2, we are seeing about 5% increase on GTX 1080 Ti compared to the previous version of the miner, though note that the improvement may vary from one to another GPU. Another interesting improvement is that Lyra2Z should now be mineable on all of the supported Nvidia GPUs and not only on GTX 1050 GPUs. The third interesting new feature is that the miner should now be able to check for new versions and report the availability of such, no auto updating though and we still need to check the feature out when a new version comes out.
