lolMiner-mnx is a new miner for Mining MinexCoin (MNX) or any other coin that uses the Equihash 96/5 algorithm. Do note that the this is not the same algorithm used by ZCash (ZEC), there it is Equihash 200/9, so this miner is not compatible for mining traditional Equihash coins. The lolMiner-mnx is a closed source OpenCL miner being developed from scratch, so it is not based on existing opensource code. Currently it is available as 64-bit binary releases for both Linux and Windows, although it uses OpenCL it should compatible with pretty much any GPU including Intel and Nvidia and not only AMD.
The miner still needs some work, especially on Nvidia GPUs where by default it is pretty heavy on the CPU load and memory usage as well. It is recommended that Nvidia users add the parameter --enable-nv-hotfix in order to reduce the CPU load a bit, but still running the miner on the main GPU may make the system a bit unresponsive even with that parameter. Still if you are interested in mining MNX (even with the high hashrate and low block reward at the moment) or any other Equihash 96/5 coin you might want to check the lolMiner-mnx out.
Linux users can also use the Optiminer/Equihash miner as a solution for mining different variations of the Equihash algorithm (Equihash 200/9, Equihash 192/7, Equihash 96/5). A Windows version is supposed to come out at some point, but it is still not available for the moment.

Claymore has released an update to his popular Ethereum dual miner for AMD and Nvidia GPUs with some new interesting and useful features as well as some small improvements. The new version 11 comes with two new algorithms that can be used in dual mining mode along with Ethereum or any other Ethash-based coin, these are Blake2s and Keccak. Another importan change is the reduced developer fee for dual mode that is now at 1.5% and the removal of the dev fee completely for video cards with just 2GB of video memory (you cannot mine ETH/ETC with these anymore, but the miner will work with other forks). The “-asm 2” option value now supports Tahiti, Tonga, Ellesmere, Baffin AMD GPUs and in some cases it can be a bit faster in ETH-only mode, so you can give it a try if you have a mining rig with any of these.

Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Motherboards

There is an interesting new Chinese company called Octominer that is apparently focusing on the GPU mining market by offering a specialized mining motherboard for 8 GPU mining rigs. The Octominer B8PLUS motherboard has 8x full size PCI-E slots spaced decently enough to eliminate the need to use PCI-E riser boards. The manufacturer suggests that the motherboard is suitable for any Nvidia or AMD GPU that is 4.5 cm or thinner, so all 2 slot thickness cards should fit, 2.5 slot cards might also fit, but very tightly and there could be some trouble with cooling them. Furthermore the motherboard comes with integrated Intel mobile CPU with built-in graphics. The motherboards uses SO-DIMM DDR4 memory and comes with M-SATA slot for an SSD memory and a sATA interface for an external HDD or SSD drive that you need to buy separately of course.
